I'm aware that rubber isn't the best choice and if I continue to use grommets, I can replace them with synthetic rubber. Before using them, I soaked them for several hours in hot tap water with antibacterial dish soap added. I rinsed them and let them air dry on a paper towel.

No rubber taste so far.

If you can find Viton rubber you would be all set.
It is rated for VG&PG

Good luck on finding them tho, I never found a stock one already being made. (or easily modded).
I was going to have them custom made when I was looking at marketing "Gummy tanks" But the start up was a bit too much.
I didn't want to get stuck with 10,000 end caps if the market suddenly changed. (It'll do that you know)

That's the key right there. I don't have any otherwise I'd give it a go. Please post the results because I've had requests from more than a few folks asking about them.

Great post and great idea Parallex.

I didn't read every post, so I don't know if others have solved the clearomizer issue, but this is how I did it. I didn't use the bottle but the principal is the same.

I used these for the body of the tank: Curved Tip Syringe -12 cc

And I used the Danco beveled washers for the end plugs. As a side note, these come in 3 outside diameter sizes (even though they are all labeled 3/8. The diameters are 5/8", 21/32", and 11/16") I used the 5/8" to fit the large syringe tubes. The center hole needs to be drilled/reamed out to fit snug on a BD 3ml syringe which is a little larger than the metal CE2 tube.

On the bottom, I have a piece of 3ml syringe that is about 1/16" longer than the thickness of the washer. This is to give a better surface to seal on the base of the carto.

On the top there is a piece of of 3ml syringe that is about 1/4"-3/8" longer than the thickness of the washer. This goes over the coil and provides a tube to put a drip tip in.

Mine are using KR-808 XL CE2s, and I left the tank body syringe tube long at the bottom to offer some lateral support by fitting snug to the top of my mod. I may end up cutting it down...

These are still pretty easy to fill by just wiggling the top tube and washer out. They also slide onto the base of the CE2 just like the typical syringe tube mod. Been using mine for a little over a week with no leaking.

I went to home depot and lowes and couldnt find 5/8 od beveled washers ( 2 home depots btw) But they had the flat ones, so I bought them. I have the bottle here, I made the bottom hole no prob, but I was doing the top and decided to just use the grinding stone, witch works awesome, but I slipped and went right through with it. and its a little to big for the ce2 sleeve and even a drip tip grrrr. I would just the flat washers on the top but just seems like it would twist or move somewhat easy especially when juice on it.

Madvapes has been out of the 25mm vials for a while now. Can someone who actually has one verify that they are most likely these? VisiPak | 25 mm Vial 0.50 oz - MiniPak | Vials & Jars

mjmetz, couldn't get to the inside base measurement, but this looks like the larger MV bottle. It holds 15ml (nearly topped off) and the small holds 10ml. Hope that helps.

Table formating wouldn't take so I'll try again as attachment.

Did that over Christmas vacation before the 400x400 got here - it works, but it is still wick. Now it's spring break and I get to play again.

We all know that a Genisis has it's own taste, so I was wanting to try this to see if it was the mesh or wick that gave it it's taste.
Well Does it?

I don't believe a clean wick adds taste, but there are subtle differences in the taste of the straight mesh. The mesh seems to be more efficient at delivering the full properties of the juice; flavor, nicotine, and base more evenly. I suspect that the absorptive properties of the wicking material may be more subtractive than additive. If that’s the case, the wick isn’t delivering the full body of flavor… but, it may be that the mesh is more efficient at delivering the actual ‘blend’ than the wick is. It may also be that the wick is more efficient at wicking some components in the mix than others and leaves some behind. Only way to tell that would be chemical analysis the juice remnants and compare wick to mesh residue… gotta chemist handy? It may also be that as the coil heats, the mesh releases everything, but the wick retains some elements of the juice.

I just got some of the Boge dual coil cartos yesterday and have been running one alongside the meshed MAP and honestly, the mesh is winning. The Boge is good, but doesn’t stand up to the mesh… esp. since I’d forgotten the hassles and mess inherent to the wick-packed cartos. Granted, the Boge isn’t broken in yet, so it may be an unfair comparison, but I feel no inclination to pull the other four out of the box to prep for use at this point.

I’m going to break down the CE2 after about 8ml of juice to see what it looks like. Normally I clean the MAPs before reload, but after Dan’s comments decided to do a second small load before cleaning. I do know that the full tank still had just a bit less than 1ml left this morning after vaping straight through on it yesterday (burned through an 18650) and I had to adjust from my regular chain vape and slow down I’m guessing due to the more efficient nicotine delivery of the mesh.

Taste is so subjective I don’t really have the proper vocabulary to express it. It all still boils down to - if it tastes good, enjoy it… if not, let it steep for a few months then flush it.
