The lite strawberry cheesecake recipe gets a little reddish over time and the lemon meringue pie recipe gets very dark.
The ingredients in the different flavors will interact differently with the nic. and other flavors,so different mixes will turn different colors.I've had some start clear and turn yellow, some orange, some will even get very dark, that lemon meringue is a perfect example, that stuff gets so dark, you can't see through it haha.
Alot of Lorann flavors have food coloring in them though,as they are mainly intended for candy making,so grape is purple, watermelon is pink, etc.

Think about that juice, I think it's called Pluid? Doesn't it glow green like cartoon radiation or something? I think that would be fairly cool actually, but I cannot abide the taste of anise, not even a little bit. Ick ick ick.

Andria
True, I forgot about Pluid. That stuff is NEON! I'd like to try some just to say I have, but I can't imagine vaping it 24/7. Although, if the Pluid-heads haven't croaked yet, that makes me feel better about this stuff!

Btw, if anybody needs nic, MFS is having one of their $40/liter sales. I'm debating picking a liter or two up.

Any pros/cons? Is it fairly tasteless or super peppery? We vape anything 12mg and lower around here.
I use it & there's no peppery taste or anything else to me. I get mine in pg, so I think if there was a taste to it the pg would show it. It is pretty dark, tho, but that makes it easy to see if you spill or drip while mixing.

By pretty dark, how dark we talking? I'd probably be using VG base. Don't know if that would make a difference?

Mine is just a really light yellowish tint.
Unless the $40 stuff is different. I got a litre of it a week or so ago for $50, but just put it straight in the deep freeze.

No difference, except pg is a thinner consistancy. Both are clear. I mention it because some people are surprised when they get their nic & it's not clear. The stronger the nic solution the darker brownish it is. When it's diluted for your mix it get's lighter. How dark it is depends on how strong it is.

Yep, mine's kind of a medium caramel color at 100 mg/ml. What strength did you get, Robert? I have another liter that's 200 mg/ml & it's ddarker because it.s a higher concentration of nic. They'll both dilute to a very pale yellow like fresh squeezed lemon when I dilute it to 18 mg/ml which is what I'm vaping right now. The more it's diluted the lighter it appears of course. I guess people are surprised that nic isn't clear, but there's no coloring added to it that i'm aware of. It'good nic with no strange flavor that I can tell.

I'm just curious because I've seen nic @ 100mg in VG base that was crystal clear out of the jug until it sat in a water bath for awhile, then it turned amber.

I just can't afford a gallon at a time like the vape shop can.
That's how mine comes,it is as clear as plain vg is.The color just means it has oxidized some.

I have read that the push gas used to dispense the pure nic is what can determine the color change as it oxidizes. You can read about it on the faq's at Carolina extract. I can't see it from my phone for some reason. Argon leaves it colorless, nitrogen another, and co2 another. Pink hue versus yellow basically. But I forget which is which

It might be a bit of overkill but, when I read the several suppliers purge their bottles with Argon. I thought that it would be a good idea to do it myself. I wanted to rebottle the nicotine in smaller bottles, and to also have them purged as well. I already had a bottle of argon, from when I used to tig weld, so I made a purge tank from plexiglass, and aluminum angle. I have about a 10 year supply in the small chest freezer in my basement, and just so you believe me, a pic below. :)

I am finishing up a 125 ml bottle of 100mg/ml MFS nic. Mine is a very light yellow. Not quite clear but just a bit yellowish. I keep a 30 ml clear bottle on my desk for mixing. I got mine in glass. The 50$ litre is in plastic and as I said I just put it in the freezer without opening it. Not sure if all the nic they sell is the same or not.

Yeah, I think I just liked the blue cobalt bottles,
It was recommended to use the brown or the blue, to keep the light out.
all my nic is stored in those. I also bought some of the MFS nic, but it got transfered
into these bottles, and put into the freezer, it will be a while before I use it.

Y'know... I buy the "TH nic" from vaperstek, 100mg, which is supposedly exposed to "controlled oxidation" -- it's not dark at all; just very faintly pinkish. It's also the absolute cheapest I've found for small bottles, $10/120ml. I really can't tell much if any diff from the WizLabs nic, which is completely clear/very faintly yellowish. I don't think I'd want to use any that was dark.

Yeah I have another litre of nic in the freezer that I broke up into amber glass 30ml bottles. Not sure why the glass needs to be colored no light in my deep freezer. But I did it anyway ;)

Yeah me too, I also wrapped mine in aluminum foil and a food service film, then boxed them up, ain't no light getting to my bottles. :) I am still using some Nic that I bought from wizard, in December of 2013, and it is still clear as it was when I bought it.

Really?? $10/120ml?? Iza gotz to go there! I've been getting mine from ECX at $13.99/120ml/100mg/100%VG. :nah:

ETA: 2 questions..
1. What's "EU Sourced"? and...
2. "Throat Hit Nicotine" - I'm assuming it means what it says?? in a VG base??
