VZ SC imo is great for melons (all) and berries (all) and at 3 to 4 %, no sweetener needed…. but i'd prefer to use TFA just because its got some natural flavorings in there… haven't tried the straw or other TFA berries yet.

Try the Blackberry @ 5-7% It's very sweet without adding anything else. If you like lighter flavors, stay under 5%.

It was just added to TPA a little while ago, so WL may not be aware of it. Most of what WL sells is known to be free of Diacetyl, and it is, but there's a potential, in some cases, for these two chemicals to form Diacetyl. From what I've read, it doesn't always happen, but it's good to see a warning and more information coming out about it.

I've vaped it before at even at 12% it seems weak, so you're probably looking at 15%+ if anything.

WOW! Thanks for that tidbit of info!
I purchased this flavor from Wizard Labs and was under the impression that they didn't stock anything that is known to be a possible health risk!

Now I am unsure if I will use it for vaping at all or if I will just use it as a flavoring in my morning coffee

Again, thank you Rat2chat2 for pointing that out to me! Now off to check all my other TFA flavors I purchased from WL

Edit: It does state on TFA website that vanilla custard contains both Acetoin and Acetyl Propionyl

I got into some "additive" types from TFA:
- sweet cream, whipped cream, marshmallow, cotton candy…
all pretty spot on, but all very sweet… too sweet imo at 10%.

tried Honeysucke, and Mango … way too much and too sweet at 10%

Honeysuckle like someone suggested, needs very small % to get that flowery flavor one looks for in that flavor.

Mango, hard to figure, same need for less %, very sweet.

I'm seeing the value in advice about starting very small % and diligently testing small incremental samplings at each dilution…

I guess i got thrown with the Melon flavors being exactly what i was looking for: not too sweet, natural good flavor even at higher % (10% range).

My last post brings me to my new need in a flavor recommendation: a mellow, almost neutral flavor.

Up to now i have been using a VZ SC Coconut at 3%, and VZSC Cream (1%)… for a nice mellow juice (not too sweet) as is vaped, or as an additive to sharper flavors (fruits, etc).

I don't use tobacco flavors… but would like to know if there is another mellow flavor ie. something like BWB Malty juice…. or any other recommendation? TFA of course.

thanks

Try bubble gum at 10%. It's very mild, one I never get tired of.

does anybody have any Dragon fruit recipes? I have dragon fruit from TFA, but don't know what would compliment it well.

I had never tried Dragon Fruit either, juice or real fruit, so I went simple.
I mixed some TFA Sweet Cream with it, mainly because I like a little cream with any of the fruits.
It turned out really good, after a two week steep.
It tasted like peaches and pears to me ... I didn't add any sweetener, and it was just right for me.

Also, welcome from another Washingtonian (east side)

I have to be really careful with bubblegum. Anything over 4% and I get a rubbery aftertaste. I use bubble gum a lot for mixing with fruit flavors.

Interesting.... I have a bubble gum steeping about 5ml at 10% I believe which I have not tested yet

Come to think of it I have never used bubble gum as a stand alone. It might be just a combination with other flavors... Now I'm gonna try it as a stand alone and see what gives...

I'm just getting started on DIY so I'll only be doing one flavor at a time for now, but for future reference, does anybody have any Dragon fruit recipes? I have dragon fruit from TFA, but don't know what would compliment it well.

The TFA Dragon Fruit is pretty strong... personally, i'd use very small amounts of it and nearly match it with sweetener. For my taste, it's really not my favorite as it has kinda' an acquired flavor. Maybe add some type of TFA whipped cream or the TFA Sweet Cream to it to smooth it a bit and it'd prolly be great to vape. It's very strong and has a bit of a 'bite' to it... (just my opinion) :)

Please forgive me for going just tiny bit OT, but I suspect that this will be of interest to many here.

I was just getting ready to place an order direct from TFA, and I noticed that they are closing for a couple of weeks for the holiday. They will close on 12/21 and re-open on 1/2. For those of you who buy direct from Linda, plan accordingly!

Happy holidays everyone!

Do you know if TFA/TPA uses Sucralose or "Splenda"?
Have you all heard about the health issues related to heating Splenda/Sucralose? its bad.

I just got a newsletter article about it and I know i've seen sucralose as a sweetener somewhere… like Capellas… I may have missed notices about this but I will have to start checking.

Ok, I need a little direction. A buddy of mine wants me to mix some juice for his wife. He says she has been mixing a B&M "Marlboro" and vanilla, and likes it. The only tobacco flavor I have mixed so far is a black n mild VZ, by itself (that I love by the way). I need some starting point ideas here.

I have TFA:
M-Type
Vanilla Swirl
French Vanilla
along with whipped cream, smooth, cotton candy, etc. to round out with

Let me know if any of you have a vanilla tobacco recipe, preferably with M-type, or that you think would work with M-Type

The tobaccos can be tricky because of the long steep times. I would ask her at what % she like her B&M Marlboro at and use that as a starting point. As far as the vanilla you would probably need to do the same. My personal starting point would be:

TFA M-type 3%
French Vanilla 2%

I will give that a shot. I fugured on some steeping. As for the brick n mortar. It's a Chinese import premix, possibly dekang. The vanilla is one of the store's "premium" flavors, that says it is pg/vg blend, although it doesn't say at what percentage, but they are still bought from an outside source. Our local B&M doesn't mix their own.

Okay, you can't just drop a bomb like this without further explanation, or at least siting a source. Care to expand on your claim?
