Yeah,my brain is already turning a little bit haha.I like to dunk my doughnuts in either milk or coffee depending on mood,so i figure maybe a doughnut/cream/dulce de leche and another with one of the coffee type flavors and a bit of cream.Definitely looking forward to the red velvet/cream cheese icing though, every once in a while my wife brings some red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing home from the store, and i head right for them, she tries to hide them, but it never works haha,so i'm drooling over the possibility to get at least close to what those taste like.I really need to slow down on ordering flavors for a bit,i've been so busy that in the last few weeks i have accumulated like 8-9 new flavors that i have never got the chance to try yet, plus the new samples from this last order.I guess on the bright side though,if i continue to order them, then i will have plenty to keep me busy here soon when work slows down a bit for the winter.

WElcomE To the world of flavor buying addiction...I am starting to lie to my wife when she sees the vape mail and tell her they are free samples...I don't feel bad because shoes from DSW that come in the mail for her are free samples also :D

What's the answer to "where's the bread, and I'm talking too much bread" ? :D

I've been considering a PB&J, and I don't have a clue what the bread might be there. It actually made me wonder about horchata, but maybe I just don't understand horchata...

If you have any ap,dont ask me how to spell it out haha, but anyway,i have read alot that when used sparingly will give a bread type taste.I have used it with a tobacco flavor and it gives a bit of a nutty type taste at 1 drop in 5 ml,i think maybe 2 drops would get it more to a bread type taste though.

As for the horchata,Ren already gave a great explanation of what it is,and a good place to try it,but also if you have save-a-lot stores near you,you can get it in powdered form that you mix in milk or water,it's like $1.99 a bag,if you like vanilla and cinnamon get some of that,it is my favorite drink.I think i could almost keep our local store in business just from how much of that we buy there haha, well that and the gallons and gallons of milk to mix it in haha.

Haha,i know that feeling all too well,i'm so addicted to buying them, that several times i have filled my cart with what i knew i wanted, sit there for a minute and said ah,1 or 2 more wont hurt anything, and end up ordering stuff i've never even heard of haha.I do the same with the wife, there have been a few times,i have played it off,Oh wow, that finally showed up,that's the other part of that order from like a month ago, remember i told ya they only sent part of that one order haha. She hasn't started the shoes yet,but she has been getting a steady supply of "samples" from old navy for the last few months haha.

haha I forgot all about that line "Do you know how long this took to get here?" "its been like a month"

I use that mostly for mods, tanks and whatever else I can get my hands on for no good reason :p

YES! Like that! (the flavoring, not the goodie hiding lol) But ya, that's what I'd like to see from the RV. If you make that work, I'm all over it! :)

Now, about your wife.....LOL This is where my husband has figured out that helping bring in groceries = first knock at the goodies! If I don't hid the goodies in THIS house (I live with 4 men-husband, kiddo, FIL and roommate, 'nuff said), I'll never get a single bite! In fact, I'm sitting here now with the blasted JAR of Cookies & Cream Cookie Butter from Trader Joe's and a plastic knife-having a lil party by myself. Had to hide it behind my trashcan in my nightstand because my son would have ate the jar the second I came home LOL

I'm thinking the bread but not too much bread Frosted Doughnut flavoring may help with the RV (if it needs it after the typical creams and sweeteners). Thought being-it's sweet, it's not over powering. It's just right ;) I truly believe that stuff is key to a few ideas I've been swirling around in my head!

Thank you Bill! Much appreciated-I was very very frustrated earlier. I can deal with ikky juice-but for flavors to entirely disappear? One gets annoyed and wondering where I was when the memo came out that THAT was going to happen!

Here is the Peaches and Cream I thought tasted good out of the bottle - without my base:

Peach (Juicy) - 11%
Sweet Cream - 5%
Bavarian Cream 2% (I started a lil higher, but it took over)
Vaanilla Swirl - 4%

Loved the taste. Disappears in hordes when the DS is added to it :(

The blueberry one was quite similar. I used Blueberry (Extra) at 9% and uped the BC to 4%. Again, not bad on it's own. But with the base it seems to disappear.

I sure hope I'm not working on a horrid case of vape tongue!!!!!!!!
What percentage did you use on the Danish base flavoring?

I agree about the AP, but sparingly is being easy on it. SUPER SUPER concentrated that stuff is! (When did I start talking like Yoda?) Anyway, I really think that the Frosted Doughnut would be a GREAT bread for PB&J! And possibly a drop or two of Pie Crust. Hmmmm-you've got my wheels spinning now!! Maybe that should be our next group challenge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ooo! Forgot about Save-A-Lot! Also a great place to get the powder mix-no doubt! I too love the heck out of that drink (never mixed it milk though-the lil Mexican older gentleman that is the foreman at our ranch and taught me as a kid about that drink would have a coronary if someone did that lol) . That could possibly be an ADV for me if I ever remembered to get the flavor. Firechick's hubby REALLY digs horchata vape. But I don't know off the top of my head what she uses to mix it up. Perhaps if she reads this *hint hint-nudge nudge* she'll clue us in on a great recipe!

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That MUST be where the motorcycle and hunting gear and fishing gear and tool boxes and tools and drill presses and router and and and and...came from in my garage! (The guns are mutual-they and any accessories are forgivable purchases-ALWAYS lol Usually the accessories are me though *adjusts halo* )

I have recently found him coming home from work, arms loaded down with gearand walking by the mailbox sniffing lol Cause you can smell that vape mail a mile away! Then I get the "I *think* you have mail out there-The mailbox smells good again. How much was THAT order?!?!" I smile and pull the teenager signature blank look until he goes "Well, at least you're not smoking anymore" and walks away

*snicker*

He'll love the smell of the mailbox next week. I have 4 flavor orders coming hahahahahahahahahaha

I just can't believe how this thread has evolved in as little as 6-7 months.

I'm trying to see what kind of fruity mixin's I can do, so I search the thread for blackberry. I get a few hits for recipes, since blackberry isn't terribly popular (but will go fantastic with strawberry and peanut butter for some PB&J, I bet). But then I get back to March, and all I see is the Recommending Starting Percentages list posted, over and over.

It's almost like a few months ago, an unstoppable juice juggernaut was unleashed into this thread...
If you make a great PB&J please share! I got one from a vendor once and it was SO good. I haven't attempted it yet but I've used the PB and it's nothing like it was in this juice. The juice had the nice thick creamy "PB-ness" to it (with a hint of grape) So definitely the recipe had additions other than just PB and grape but I can't think of what you might add to make PB creamy. I wouldn't think vanillas? Could it be?

I posted a couple of frosted donut recipes recently and I thought they turned out pretty good. If you're having troubles, might help...just sayin'....:2c:

The Danish base the Reni uses is a very high flavoring base and should be fully mixed in a day or so, and then it can be used as a separate flavoring. I'll make mine first thing in the morning. Will try it tomorrow and again on Sunday. I have a pretty good idea what the problem is and I'll try to get it to work tomorrow and will report back on results.

When mixing VG, I like the tapered dispensing needles: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001QQBH3Q/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1. These can be cut to widen the opening and they fit all luer lock syringes. I have the green and pink (16 and 14 gauge). I use syringes in the 1 ml to 100 ml sizes and use all of them and everything in between, but I make very large batches quite often. I like to mix in beakers as I can stir with glass, let breath (surface area is everything), and they are easy to fill bottles with. If I need to seal the mix before bottling, I like reagent bottles. They allow mixing, breathing and seal well....perfect for my needs. Droppers work great when using drops to equal percentages and not volume/mass.....perfect for the 100 drop tests. The larger the batches, the more accurate the mix regardless of measurement tools. I buy syringes by the box/case. Much, much less expensive, and, as such, I don't worry when the markings wear off....just get a new one. :2c:

I have used Acetyl pyrazine in many recipes. I don't think it's a spectacular flavor in anything, and it doesn't taste the way many describe the flavoring to me. The flavor is dull and muted to me, but flavors are totally subjective, so this flavoring seems to taste different to people. For me, it's just a background flavoring that fills a hole in certain recipes that lack depth, and that I don't want to fill with creams/vanillas, so it is useful, though limited, imho. :2c:

I haven't had a very good sense of taste or smell since I contracted a cold from some airport or airplane two weeks ago. I'm happy to report that I'm ready to do serious work in the Vape Lab this weekend and have a number of assignments. I do intend to publish my Danish recipes on Sunday. Rolling up the sleeves now! But, time to knock off, so I can hit it early tomorrow. Ciao! :D

I just have a question and I'm sorry if the answer is obvious. This recipe looks great and I really wanna give it a shot. I see that you said this is it without your base - I'm sorry but which base? Is it the one you've been working on? What about just mixing the recipe above?

And 2nd dumb question what is the DS you said you add to it? I can't figure out what it stands for.

It all started when I was playing with my tiny pantry and made a juice that was largely blackberry and raspberry (sweet). It had a definite "jamminess" that I liked, but couldn't expand upon. Then I got my mom into vaping (took to it like a fish to water, I was pleasantly surprised!), and she's been known to live on peanut butter, so I threw some in the cart.

Now I will definitely play with it. Maybe I'll abandon the idea of breadliness for now, and just focus on the PB&J, ignoring the sandwich part.

It'll definitely include blackberry and raspberry (not sweet this time, hopefully not a mistake) for the jelly. The only grape i have is grape candy, I'm not sure if there's any place for it here.

I also don't know what I'll use to make it creamy, but I'd like to play around today. I get to put off writing an exam, and it's finally the weekend and time for mixing!

Reni is referring to her "Danish Stone" recipe. Some bases are made with multiple TFA flavorings and after they sit for a while, they meld into a new flavor, and this new "base" is often referred to as "Stone." Does it make any sense? Not to me, but the Neanderthals used this term long before we were born. Go figure? :toast: :D
