The State of Confusion
Yeah, glass ones are not cheap. I will probably be buying something cheap off of eBay. Considering how little I will use it, I'm not going to put a lot of money into them. I have way too much other stuff to buy. LOL

I can totally relate! LOL

I have a classic car I am selling, I want a new phone, my wife says "sell your car", then buy a new phone...

I respond "no" I don't have to have one that bad, not to mention there is soooo much other stuff I want! ;)

I can't wait to get my most recent order from TFA.....

I will be playing mad scientist muhahaaaaa

Lets see. 2% of this, 5% of that, and a dash of this...

Are all banana flavorings this way? Bananas Foster? B Nut Bread?

I'm going to be working on some Banana Juices for someone. If you do not have glass syringes, how do you work with Ripe Banana? I'm planning on getting a couple for flavors like these, but don't have any yet. I've read that it seizes up plastic syringes.

Bananas Ripe=tank cracker. Banana's Foster = NOT. Banana Cream = NOT.

I don't have every flavoring, and I don't have every flavoring in 4 ounce bottles that I do have. However, TFA uses different 4 oz bottles for their reactive flavorings. I know these come in the special bottles:

1. Cinnamon Flavor
2. Pear Flavor
3. Orange (Sweet) Flavor
4. Key Lime Flavor
5. Pineapple Flavor
6. Waffle Flavor
7. Cherry Extract Flavor
8. Peppermint Flavor
9. Lemon Lime Flavor
10. Absinthe Flavor
11. Ripe Banana Flavor

Can't say why all of these are in the special bottles, but these bottles cost more, so there is a reason. FYI...:2c:

NOT MILKSHAKE related, but wanted to respond to this. I have one I call "Soft BaNilla Wafer" that reminds me of a bite of banana pudding that has the soft Nilla wafer in it: (It has some Nature's Flavors as well as TFA)

3.5% NF Banana Split
2.5% NF Cake Batter
2.5% Signature Cinnamon Danish (this might be same as TFA?)
2.5% TFA Frosted Donut (tastes more like powdered donut)
1.5% TFA Marshmallow
3.5% TFA Vanilla Swirl
1% TFA French Vanilla
1.5% TFA Brown Sugar Extra
1% EM (10% PG solution)

You can of course use whatever banana flav u have, and tweak it to your liking. Hope this helps!

Thank you!!! Now I know what to get, to make this! (I don't have any of those flavors, though I have Signature Cinnamon Redhot, and in a day or two I'll have some Capella cake batter). Also, any idea how TFA's sweetener would work, instead of EM? I have somme of the concentrated sucralose already, and it looks like I need to get more.

Thx!

No problem. I wouldn't use cin red hot. A single drop of it would probably drastically change the final product. If I had just a "Danish" instead of Cinnamon Danish I would have used that. Was just looking for something fluffy and bready really. As is, I don't really taste any cinnamon with this recipe, which is good because I don't think Nilla wafers are made with it.

The only 'sweetener' I've used is EM but I'm guessing sucralose would work fine. Honestly I bet a combo of both would be ideal. I think TFA 'Cotton Candy' is just expensive premixed EM solution but I might be wrong.

I would just get all of those ingredients next time youre placing an order because they're all solid versatile flavors and come in handy constantly.

Good luck!

If you don't have any of those flavorings Andria, we need to get you set up! Here's some thoughts about starting flavorings.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...entice-flavoring-thread-basic-flavorings.html

I think they are the basic essentials without reference to specific flavorings that "only" you would like. These are used in many, if not most, recipes. A good start, more a primer, I think. Good luck! :toast:

Oh yeah, the list also shows ry4 double as a cracker, which sucks because that was my next plan to use in my orchid since the fire & ice wouldn't work.I just can't win haha.

Yeah, that sounds right, about the redhot. I guess if it's just the "bready" taste, I might just use some of the AP stuff, I have some of that on order right now, should be here about Wed I think, for the blueberry muffin I'm going to be working on.

And yeah, the other ingredients do sound good, for a lot of the recipes I'm seeing around here! :)

thx!

Ok, thanks for the link! I see a couple that I do actually have, and a couple that I would never use (RASPBERRY! GACK ACK PTUI! and really not crazy about lemon ANYTHING, or tart flavors, since I've pretty much given up most tobacco flavors -- I got some bitter wizard, and it worked wonders on the Virginia, but mostly don't care for that taste).

I've got Koolada, Pineapple, Apple, Vanilla Cupcake, Sugar Cookie, Banana Nut Bread, Cinnamon Redhot, Blueberrry Extra, Blueberry Candy, Cake Batter on the way, and AP on the way, and a little sweetener, and I can see I need to buy a bigger bottle of sweetener; most all the ejuices I've tasted, even the pre-made, aren't nearly sweet enough to my taste. But then, I was a kid who put sugar in orange juice! :D I'm not QUITE that bad now, but I do like things sweet, especially fruit flavors. And I agree with that caveat you posted the other day, about sweetener not necessarily "muting" flavors -- to me, I can't even really taste some flavors until they're pretty sweet -- the sweetener is what actually makes them "POP!"

As the subject says, this is off-topic but I thought I'd share since this thread has inspired a lot of new DIYers (including me).

I thought these press-in bottle adapters would be the greatest thing for quick syringe mixing (oral syringes, to me are more convenient and less hassle than insert filling with needles) - I thought the quick, inverted style would suit me much better for many things especially since it works with existing caps.

However, the openings in these caps are hard plastic and doesn't contain any type of soft seal. In addition, most oral syringes don't have much of a taper to their tips which makes this even less likely to seal. This, on first try, didn't provide the leak-free seal that I had hoped and quickly became a mess.

Unfortunately, I bought tons of syringes and bottle adapters in different sizes. Hopefully my first attempt was an anomaly. We'll see.

If that doesn't work, I'll primarily be going back to the pipettes and pipette pump for convenient/accurate measurements.

I received an order from TFA today and the 15ml menthol in my order had broken during shipment. Wow what a smell when I open the package. My wife and I quickly open the rest of the package and tried to separate the rest of the order. luckily the smaller bottles where wrapped separately and were ok.... all of my 15ml bottles were so soaked the labels were unreadable. We got every thing cleaned up and we both noticed that our hands felt tingley.... I guess the exposure to the straight menthol did it. SO next time we will glove up.

I called TFA and they were so apologetic and helpful!!!!!! they quickly offered to replace anything that was damaged and said they would ship it out tomorrow. It was really nice to deal with a smaller company that really appreciates there customers!!!!!!!!

I think i may be right there with ya on the rasberry haha.I already figured out that i absolutely cannot stand the artificial strawberry flavors, and i think i may be headed that direction with the artificial rasberry too.I'm going to give it another fair shot at a lower %,but i have used it in about 4 recipes so far,all at 8% or more and it was horrid every time haha, now lemon thats a different story,i love lemon, that is one of my favorite fruit flavors.
The sugar in the orange juice sounds like it could be good,i've had a few bottles that were pretty sour tasting, and never even thought to try that.

Anyone getting a strong flower-y taste with the raspberry/blackberry flavors? I keep cutting them thinking they're just really strong flavors but it persists. Would adding some sweetener or marshmellow help?

I do know what you mean, Raspberry in particular. The GF was vaping my strawberry/raspberry mixture, and she noted the floral taste that wasn't there from Strawberry alone. I don't notice it as much, but you're not alone. I don't know how to curb it, but I can verify that you're not insane :)

Oh I have a real history with raspberry.... Do you by any chance remember a candy called "Razzles"? When I was a kid I was ADDICTED to them... I mean I could barely go a day without wanting another packet... I ended up eating so much of that damn candy, I can no longer tolerate the slightest thing about raspberries, not even the smell, and CERTAINLY not the taste. Uggh!

Lemon, not my thing at all; the only thing I can stand the taste of lemon on, is fish -- and that's certainly not a vaping flavor! :D I just don't like "tart," or "sour," except possibly white grapes; that's about the only thing I can think of that's tart, that I can stand. I used to hate grapefruit, but my husband taught me a trick: SALT! It actually does make it sweeter. Now, on a hot day if I'm REALLY thirsty, I find that ruby-red grapefruit juice with some salt in it REALLY does the trick. I think my dislike of sour/tart is why I've never liked blackberries either, plus all those pesky seeds!

And it's funny, that I used to put sugar in OJ -- sometime in my teen years I discovered the salt trick for myself, with oranges -- put salt on them and they're easily twice as sweet. But yeah, as a kid, I was all about the sugar -- I put sugar on frosted flakes, cap'n crunch, you name it. I *still* put sugar on frosted mini wheats. :D

I'm dismayed to hear that about the strawberry flavors; that's a flavor I really do like. Does anyone know if any of the brands have a strawberry flavor that's any good? Maybe Inawera?

It is not a milkshake, and this is NOT my recipe. I found it on the internet somewhere (a link from Facebook perhaps?), but I mixed it a month or so ago thinking it looked good. All TFA flavors, and it IS good!! I mixed it, tasted, tasted good, but put it aside since I have so much vendor juice and totally forgot about it. I was going through my juice box the other day and found the bottle of this. It really is pretty good!

Lapdance
Ripe Strawberry 10%
French Vanilla 3%
Vanilla Swirl 4%
Whip Cream 3%

Some might want to add sweetener, but this is plenty sweet for me! Just thought I would throw out a contribution.

I will be making a flavor order tomorrow for a few things so I can contribute to the milkshake shakedown :D
Hi all! Missing everyone [emoji22]

I had to make a quick comment before I go pack some more..

LOOK! SOMETHING THAT USES RIPE STRAWBERRY! WOAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Ok, back to the quiet corner of trip-land!

I have the vanilla bean ice cream in a regular 4 oz bottle. I think the Vanilla custard also came in a regular bottle, but I only have the 16 oz bottle now, so can't be sure.
