As other members are suggesting, regardless of how we choose to measure our mixes, etc., we still have to adjust all recipes to suit our gear, our vaping preferences, and our own unique taste preferences. I've never met a recipe that I didn't have to adjust. I attribute that to my gear, my mixing and measurement methodology, my vaping preferences, and my taste sensibilities....AND NOT TO THE VALIDITY OF THE ORIGINAL RECIPE, or the methodology of its preparation. So, regardless of how another may choose to mix, record one's recipes, etc., it is at best a good starting point, a launching pad, if you will, from which to experiment with our DIY to discover what works for us. Imprecision may be Nirvana to some, and anathema to the precision mixer Heck, that's at least half the fun for me...Different strokes and so forth!
While a 7.5% mix may be a world apart in a vape from an 8% mix for some, as in the example used in a post above, it is entirely possible that it is indistinguishable in taste and experience for another. The point is that in every case, we still have to tailor our mixing to our own preferences and gear. So great is the difference in equipment and gear alone, that some juices may be wonderful in a tank setup, for example, and perfectly terrible in a dripping setup, or vice versa...and this experienced by the same vaper. I used to run into this with vaping vendors, once upon a time.
I very much appreciate the posts and sharing of ideas, information and recipes on this thread, and try not to get too involved in specific methodology differences, other than to share specific experiences, and ideas about possible directions for my mixes in VapeLand. Good luck to all, in their VapeQuests!
