I am going to try the mesh this weekend.

What do you think about solid glass tubing? Seems like that may work, I might try that also

I have used borosilicate (pyrex) hollow tubing at .5mm and 1mm in other mods (not solid) and the problem is when the coil is heated the liquid is forced up, heat tends to rise. I have not tried it at a 30 degree angle in this and have plenty laying around from other mods. I think the other problem is it will wick the juice down and onto the surface causing the juice to pool. Would have to set one up and try it. The other problem with glass is temprature changes will cause it to crack.
Let me know how the SS works for you...

Still waiting on the SS mesh. Snailmail from Europe!! arrgh
Trying to find a US supplier of the #400 SS felt like I was dividing by zero in Google.

I am pretty good at making the atty coils and Silica thread now. Braiding 3 groups of silica thread works really well. Still trying to decide on what MOD to use with it. The EGO batteries look silly with this monster on the top. Analog smokers laugh at me in the smoking pit at work. I just smile and nod.

This product is amazing in terms of taste and vapor output. I don't like the prebuilt attys anymore.

Well, I suppose this thread is ancient in ECF terms, but I recently purchased an Ato-Miser to practice in anticipation of the G-Tank. I used Dan's genisis set up and I have to say, these things work great. Mesh wick and 5 wraps of 32 kanthal makes this thing rock. I didn't have any of the batting Dan used, but I did have some fluval sitting around, so I'm using that instead. works great. I can usually get about 8 or 9 drops in there. Looks a little goofy, but performs like champ. I recommend this to anyone with an ato-miser.
