Following suggestions, I ordered RY1, Indian, and Pipe tobacco from RTS.

So has no one tried the Tab Blended? Because if it's similar to DK-Tab like I'm thinking it has to be good. Either way I ordered it too, so I'll post my impressions when I try it.

It's Hangsen's version of "DK-Tab." I think you will like it. It's my favorite and has been ever since I started vaping. I use it at 5% but perhaps start at 3% and work your way up?

It also is great with a bit of "RY4" added to it. I usually do that at about 3/4 "Tab" and 1/4 "RY4."

If you like "DK-TAB" I'm almost certain you are going to like the Hangsen version.

Thanks,

Norman

I've tried the ry1, ry4, and tab blended, all from RTS. I'm having my problems with all of them, and I think it's my taste buds that's to blame. Either my taste buds are still a little burnt out (probably) or I'm just wanting a more unfiltered tobacco taste.

Between the tab blended and the dk-tab, I like the dk-tab much better, but hopefully you'll like the tab blended better. It (the tab blended) is very smooth, absolutely no chemical taste, and I can see where a lot of folks like it.

Keep in mind that I like the old Dekang mlb (wish I could find some), and the TFA american red. Those two flavors seem to get some of the worst reviews going. They both have strong grassy notes that people seem to love or hate with not much in between.

Whatever works for you. It could just be the fact that I haven't found my golden percentage yet. I am not very good at mixing in general. I am getting better but that's only after much time, frustration and waste of product. The reason I prefer the VZ Super Concentrates is that the percentages are much more cut and dry than any others I have personally tried.
p

this thread for me for been a game changer. I have a big problem in that I don't like any fruit or chocolate flavors. pretty much wipes out the vast majority of flavor options. before DIY I tried well over 100 flavor from various vendors with very very few I liked. when I started DIY I tried a lot of the tobaccos from various DIY vendors and found them the same as the premades I did not care for. So, this thread comes along and decided to give Hangsen a try even though I had real doubts. I cant really explain why I like their flavors so much better than the others but I do. All I can come up with is it must be in the manufacturing process. Their tobaccos to me taste pure and clean. Much thanks to the OP.

Not sure about the vanilla and caramel that's kinda leaning more towards an ry4 but everything else sounds really good expecially the coconut. You may want to try substituting the vanilla and caramel for coca or chocolate. Tempted to try it myself.

this is a work in progress and all comments are welcome. on my next mixing session I'll try that.

For those of you that don't know what Lemon Zest is here's a picture

zest-for-web.jpg

You add the Lemon Zest to your squeezed juice to make it tarter.

I taste Lemon Zest in the Hangsen Lemon Flavor.

around Christmas I make some cheesecakes for the women in my life. I tried using lemon and orange peel with a zester. I ended up with some little pieces that did not melt while baking. I went back to just using the bottled lemon and orange zest and it melts just fine. do you think that is an option for what you're talking about?

I don't think it's you. I haven't smoked in over 6 years, so whatever damage would have been done to my 'buds' from that, should have been long repaired, not to mention I was never a heavy smoker to begin with. I have only tried RY1 out of the ones you listed but I'm having the same issues with it and Hangsen flavors in general. And I got mine from E Cig Express and Vaping Zone

We have similar tastes it seems, at least from the perspective that I like tobacco flavors that most people hate. I love grassy notes, and even the ever hated floral note, perfume note, you name it. But somehow DK-TAB has always remained a favorite of mine, even though it's not much of a natural tobacco flavor.

I guess I should add the caveat that I'm speaking strictly of the "Hangsen Essence" sold at ECX. I can't speak for RTS, but I do know the "essence" sold at VZ is different than the "essence" sold at ECX.

Thanks,

Norman

I thought I read on here somewhere that the flavors were the same between ECX and RTS. I might try to get some of the same flavors from ECX to compare. I notice that that's where everyone seems to order Hangsen from. I just needed more nicotine/PG/VG and took advantage of their 20% off for first orders.

If you're talking about cooking remove those bigger pieces, you want to have very fine shavings.

I was just trying to describe what I taste in the Hangsen Lemon Flavor.

Let us know. I've never tried the "Hangsen Essence" from RTS. All I can verify is that the "Hansen Essence" from ECX is not the same as VZ (color, taste, etc.) and I prefer ECX but YMMV.

Thanks,

Norman

I'm pretty sure it's going to be the same thing, as I don't feel RTS would try to pull anything. I'd suggest spending your money on trying something new. I'm wanting to try some of the VZ stuff that gets good reviews and also some of the Decadent Vapours Flavourings from Liberty Flights. The decadent vapours stuff seems to get a lot of good reviews.

Please don't forget the Habana Reserve from DV. It's the closest to a cigar imo.

Thanks for mentioning that. I have that on my list, I think from where you mentioned it in another thread. Would you happen to have any links for were you've discussed the decadent vapours stuff. I'm debating whether my next order will be to VZ or Liberty Flights. :vapor:

One up for liberty flights, great people over there.. My first eliquid was Churchill and thier smooth tobacco. The usa premium smooth is killer. The rest of their main line is hangsen for anyone reading that didn't know. They carry dv now.
How is that Churchill ? I have some on the way. I've read that it's licorice and tobacco.

Well it smells good like it should but I'm not getting the flavor out of it. Tried 1 drop per ml for a week, not there, added another drp/ml, still not but for a second it did. Now I have a 3 drp/ml still not good yet after ultra steep.

It has more Of an anise flavor as opposed to licorice. I haven't got percentages right on it yet. In looking for them to taste like they smell.

Vaping the red at 3 drops/ml and the flavor is great, maybe at little strong, but my fav right now. I taste some licorice in this one too at this strength
