Great review Dan. Hmm..I did follow you on that description and going on my next order. I appreciate the very thoughtful description. Well done.

I notice you and another member suggesting lower percentages and longer steep time for best flavor. I have not been doing this. While I understand the importance of steeping tobacco flavors, this brand was the first to taste so great from the get go. Hangsen is the only tobacco flavor I've mixed and enjoyed right the next day. Have a couple of bottles of Arabic, TAB, Deluxe, and Desert Ship steeping for January but have mixed daily vapes since receiving my first order recently.

Those mixed bottles in drawer were mixed 5 to 7%. We'll see how they do after five weeks compared to my daily vapes. I have a good feeling they'll blow me away but will cut back the percentages on next batch. Looking forward to it.

Looks like you've done flavor reviews before dan...

So I dipped back into my red USA mix. It comes across as a dry tobacco for sure, definitely a taste that reminds me of a Marlboro red. If you could concentrate the flavor into a tar or juice.

This batch I have mixed @ 3% in vg, steeped for maybe 2 weeks. To me this is still a strong cigarette taste at 3%. A little too much for me since I'm not liking the flavor right now. I cut it 50% and it was a dry smoke with a slight red flavor. At half tank added more mix in to bring it around 2.25% and for this flavor it's pretty good. It's like smoking a cigarette. The flavoring is not too strong. I will probably mix future batches between 2.25 & 2.5

I am not saying you are wrong doing it that way. If it works for you do it! You get instant use, and you use it up and make more. Hey if it works for you who am I to say you are wrong. I am tone deaf and can't hear music good and have alway been amazed with musicians.

But I had trouble with 3 flavors and was chasing a constant changing flavor that got muted to just a Blah. I was left saying what happened to that note and that other one I taste this morning? However when it is not muted you will find that the flavors are very complex with many different tones that you don't realise are there. That is why these companies employ top chemist. like a symphony employs top musicians.

Some people enjoy it loud and strong , other like soft and complex....

@JermyR, no never have done a flavor review before, these are the 1st. I just knew I could do better than what they had down. I am learning a lot with these flavors though. I always used (FA) flavors so I knew better with small %. Just started to try Hangsen tobacco and they are so natural that I started to try tobacco flavors again. ;-)

I actually enjoy vaping more than smoking. I never liked the smell of a burning cig. Even while smoking with someone next to me there smoke going in my face. I lived through the days of 3 of us smoking 2 packs a day in an office. Those poor co-workers said nothing to us because that was the norm back then.

I have some of the USA mixes on my wish list next order, Red, lights, and USA tobacco, I have 6 new ones steeping now. Maybe after Christmas, kids come 1st.

I know you appreciate it; I would like to get more people involved some how? I understand it is hard for some people to describe flavors also. Like; describe the color blue to a blind person. I was originally thinking about having a few people taste the same flavor and see if we come up with the same profiles, but not sure if that makes any sense. It is more of my own insecurity of my taste actually.

Has anyone tried any of these 3; "USA mix", the "RED usa mix", and the "USA tobacco". Are they much different, and do they have a smoky after taste to them?

I can only speak on the Hangsen USA MIX. My normal ADV was Dekang USA MIX and I was curious about Hangsen, so I ordered (8) 30ml bottles from Caterpiller Vapes to try. Yes, that's a lot to "try", but I heard so much praise about Hangsen, I guess I had faith that I would like it. Well, my first thoughts were that it had a nice tobacco flavor and a slight "ashy" aftertaste. But by day's end, I was very happy with the purchase and it will continue as a permanent member in my vaping rotation.

I wish I had good enough tastebuds to offer you a better description, but I don't. I just know I like it.

An example of my weird taste buds.. I said MBV Bacon tasted like burnt rubber to me, and that MBV Vanilla Butternut tasted like Bacon. :)

Thank you X6X8, So that was USA Mix has an ashy taste, Trying to stay away from the ashy taste I have a few now with it.Hey your taste buds may be alright and the Bacon might have been there?

Hangsen's British taste like roast beef and Beer!

By the way Jimi D., like that Santa hat, I tried the British 3% Saturday after 10 days steep and I can taste the stout really strong now, and couldn't before! What ever bloody possessed them to mix up a batch of roast beef and beer and call it British!

Being french I can't wait to try the Canadian now! hmmm.... maple syrup and Ale maybe? :)

Hey cess. What's your other few with an ashy taste? I like it

Indian, (Rainbow, ashy and hot/spicy), RY6, I will have to go through now they are not in front of me, but I think I am missing one? I have 6 more steeping and I have not tasted any yet. I suspect at least one may have an ashy taste?

Now that it has sit a bit, the premix (Golden Tree) has a slight ashy taste, but it doesn't bother me. You may not even notice it. Predominantly a sweet honey, fresh cigarette, with a metallic after taste. "Edit that" it is ashy the more I vape it!

Thanks cess :) Courtesy from my lovely wife.
I was looking for fish n' chips with the British. :D I'm part Cuban, Italian, and Scottish. I wonder what Hangsen could whip me up? Perhaps black beans, tomato sauce, and scotch ! :D

Hangsen Desert Ship also has a ashy taste. I'm vaping it right now, but I mix mine with Flavour Art Desert Ship. This just happened on Saturday from a master of tobacco flavors, and my big mouth. :D

Lots of good ethnic foods There,,, truffles, and Scotch... I think a saw that somewhere, truffles. I didn't care for FA desert ship, really strong and woodsy if I remember right? A master of tobacco flavors and your big mouth.......hmmmm i cant figure out if that is a good thing or not? I had thrown my Fa desert ship out last winter after it ruined a couple attys at 2%, but I am really fussy about strong flavors, I like the vg tasting nicotine to come through, but thats my preference.....

I will have to keep the Desert ship in mine also, I am hoping the magic mix I have steeping will not be ashy, but i think it will be. I am not testing any in this batch until they are all done steeping.

By the way the more I have been vaping the golden tree this afternoon and it is ashy, so that one is on the ash list also.

Yeah man. FA Desert Ship is very strong ! 1% is what I used to vape as a standalone. Even that was strong. I mixed 0.5% in with the Hangsen DS. This tastes very good together. Tastes like a Camel cig with a molasses, cane syrup sweetness to it.

Is there a big difference between Flavour Art & Hangsen Desert Ship?

Sorry I can't help you there, I tried the following Flavourart tobaccos and the only ones I liked were Shade, which was my allday vape for many months, and Golden Virginia on and off. Cowland, Purecig, Pall Mall, (Sweet Boy 8-o ) 555, Desert Ship, Golden Virginia, Dark Vapor, Cam Blend, and Maxx-blend, oba-oba. I gave up on tobacco after that except for Shade, but one of the last ones I tried was really woodsy, dry and musty at 2%. It was either Desert ship, Dark vapor, or Cam Blend. I no longer have any of them. I still buy Shade and have that mixed in a 120ml bottle.

I hear a lot of people like the cowboy, or Wyatt Earp, but I screwed up and got Cowland. I see they now have Peach sunset and peach cig also, but I would mix my own from Hangsens juicey peach!

In my opinion none of FA tobacco's are as complex, and natural tasting as Hangsen's.

But I would have never thought to mix them with each other either. There is no way to compare the two brands in my opinion. Maybe someone else can. I would like to try the mix Jimi described but I am not going out of my way to but anymore Flavourart tobacco's, That is me, and my taste preferences. Everyone is different but these Brands are totally different.

Cool! I just got some Indian! Haven't tried it yet. Is RY6 flavoring out yet?

Not sure if that statement is good or bad either Jimi! :D This TFA DS would do good too?

I have a lot of TPA tobaccos that I haven't touched since the SC's came out. Dark Vapor included. I'll have to dig back into those.
