Since BCV doesn't have a thread of their own, I have a question I'll ask here. While on their site working up a Hangsen order, I looked at a couple of Flavor Art flavors I'll be needing also. They have 10ml for $2.99, and 10ml "original bottle" for $3.39. Anyone know what the difference is? I'm guessing that the 2.99 bottle is just rebottled by BCV?

That's correct, oplholik. They charge extra for the original (factory) bottle.

btw...buyhangsen might be closed for good...
website says closed for maintenence and under that says that buyhangsen is closed
bummer

Yeah, I just saw this myself and felt regret that I hadn't made larger or more frequent purchases. Bought all the Pure they had & ended up with quite a number of different flavors. It's never enough. :)

Well, RY4 day has come and gone, been a week steeping. As I mentioned before, CONGRESS flavoring leaves a bit of a sickening citrus taste behind. Good stand alone tobacco, but not a good base for an RY4.

Batch #2 uses MAGIC MIX as a base and blends much more smoothly, almost TOO smooth as it almost disapears into the carmel and vanilla. Supplimenting the tobacco with a couple drops of diluted Tobacco absolute. Not bad so far.....

I received an email alert from them, about the discount. I think it ends at midnight 1/1. I took advantage of it and restocked some Hangsen essentials. Saved $20.

30ml bottles of Desert Ship, TAB, Turkish, RY1, & Highway. 30ml TFA RY4 Double.
10 ml bottles of Arabic & Magic Mix.

I've been wanting to try some FA Tuscan Reserve & Shade, and INW Gold Ducat, so I added those as well. So, some new ammo is on the way.

Happy New Year to everyone.

Have you ordered from RTS previously? I've heard reports that their HS flavors appear to be diluted, have you found that to be true?

Red USA also works well as a base for RY4. By itself I find it rather bland. Mix in a little caramel and vanilla and it's downright tasty.

My recipe:
5% HS Red USA
2% FA Caramel
1% TFA Vanilla Swirl
<.5% Vanilla Bourbon

Well, I'll have to plead ignorance on that one. I've only been DIY for about 5 months, and RTS is the only place I've ordered Hangsen flavors from, in that time. So it's something I can't comment on. I haven't had first hand experiences to believe they do, or I'd go somewhere else. On the other hand, how would I know if they did?..lol. Every vendor probably has a bad batch from time to time, I'd guess. I suppose any vendor that re-bottles, has the opportunity to dilute their flavors, also.

I've placed 4 orders with them, since I've started, and I'm loving what I've been able to create using their Hangsen flavors. It's the only thing I vape. A satisfied, and possibly ignorant customer!

I know what you are saying. I've been getting my HS from BCV, and I'm afraid to go someplace else because if it's different in any way, then it throws your mixes off, and you have to reformulate them. Not something I want to happen.

Right after I posted, I thought of what you mentioned, about throwing the mixing percentages off. I looked at BCV a couple of weeks ago, and they were out of stock, on some of the Hangsens I wanted to order, or I'd have pulled the trigger at BCV. I placed an order with BCV a month or so ago, for some fruitty / dessert type of flavors, for my son in law, for a xmas present. I didn't get any Hangsens with that order. I was deciding whether to wait for BCV, when I got the 20% off discount at RTS. I couldn't resist.

I already have some of everything (Hangsen) that I ordered, already on hand, except for the Magic Mix. This order was to start building a little stash. I'm going to pay more attention to this order. Maybe I can put them side by side with some back light and see if I notice any visual difference. I'll check it out, and report back, if I see a difference.

Good info gang.

My recipe:
5% HS Red USA
2% FA Caramel
1% TFA Vanilla Swirl

Now that's the kind of recipe I like, simple components, not 50 ingredients at %.0003.
I'm with you on the TFA vanilla bourbon, very powerful stuff, I used it in one of my trials. Not bad, but not my cup of tea. You should try the DIY flavor shack "Expert Carmel" it's not that usual gooey sweet flavor profile, more along the lines of a slightly burnt brown sugar. I'm %99 sure one of the reputable older liquid vendors uses it in their RY4.
So I guess the next go around I'll have to try the USA RED mix as I have a 30ml coming from rts.

I have a lot of Hangsen essence from many (maybe all?) US sources and can say honestly I've never seen or had any issue with RTS. They and BCV are my go-to suppliers.

I haven't found that to be the case :) just aged more which can be a good thing for me in reducing steep time considerably it seems. As long as their not too old like 2 years.

I have both rebottled 120ml Desert Ship from RTS and 50ml factory bottles from BCV. I have used both in my wife's cotton candy blend, I don't see any difference in either product and they look, smell and taste the same. My wife has said nothing about any difference in the taste of her juice and that makes me happy. My only con is that RTS has increased their HS prices substantially enough that I will buy from BCV and get more bang for my buck.

Quite true, BCV is noticeably cheaper.

I've never found a vendor that carries every Hangsen flavour they make. I get all my essences here, they stock quite a few and I almost exclusively vape Hangsen: HANGSEN - Tobacco essences - Platforma HSS

Thanks @mechanism , however, I guess I should have been a bit more specific about EU vendors that ship worldwide; doesn't look like they ship outside of the EU. I'm located in the US.

I'm just on a jag to find good vendors with good pricing. I just ordered a crap load of Inawera flavorings directly from Poland and saved a crap load of money in the process. "Buyhangsen.com" has closed their doors and now it's hard to find someone in the US with good pricing and availability.

This is definitely true! And I'm about to email Drew at BCV and tell him, if he wants to rack up more sales, he need to advertise a bit more and carry even more of the Hangsen line, since BuyHangsen.com has closed down.

Ah ok, I thought you were in EU! Though I should have guessed by the different spelling of 'flavor'!

All I can help you with in that case are two reputable Hangsen essence vendors who will ship overseas, you may already know of them and their stock is a bit restricted unfortunately. I've bought a few flavours from them before I settled on my main 3 flavours, which are Indian, Arabic and Magic Mix and neither of them stock those. Not sure which flavours you're after, but possibly a couple of links might be of use to you: DIY Mixing Supplies - Creme de Vape and DIY e-liquid Flavours
