Omg I'm more out of shape than I thought. Did a mile in 6.5 minutes. Knees are crying and heart is pounding. Harder than I thought on these bad knees

A mile on mine takes over 10 minutes. Elliptical brands can vary a lot. My foot rides at the front when I'm going forward, and at the back in reverse.

I tried going slower (really didn't plan on or want to go that fast) but it felt like unless I was going fast it was... Weird... Like my limbs were moving out of sync or something. I just have to get used to it, figure out the settings and all that. I just wanted to "jog" a mile, but it was over at the end of two songs[emoji33] and I was sure I was dying lol. This thing will definitely have a learning curve. I'm not entirely positive the distance reading was accurate either, seemed to go by way too fast.

OK I worked out, I'm sore, am I healthy and thin yet? Lolol

That's hilarious...I too stopped at the age of 27. I've had 23 27th birthdays (just turned 49). I'm also an Aquarius (Feb 10th)...we are the most special sign of the zodiac! WOOT! :)

I've lost about 3 or 4 pounds this week, but I'm still 0.6 pounds up from my lowest weight so I'm happy. But, I want to lose 7.6 more pounds and it's not happening quickly this go round. I am continuing to run every night and I'm developing runner's legs. Love.It.

:vapor:

:)

Everybody appreciates runner's legs! ;)

Give it time. 3-4 pounds of loss in a week is a lot, Plus, those runners legs weight "a lot" with all the extra-super-dense ultra toned muscles your developing. How's your diet?

I keep a low profile around my birthday Bridget...*snicker*...and thank you.

Lost 0.6 pounds (I'm back down to my lowest weight) so now I need to lose 7 more pounds. It's been a good week for me. Just as long as my weight doesn't creep back up like it has been. I think this second weight loss goal is not as important to me as the first one so I don't take it as seriously. And I'm happy with myself right now. As long as I'm eating healthy and exercising I can't go wrong.

Ro! I was not shocked to hear you say you are a runner too. :) And it sounds like you've got a great 5K time! Badazzery...LOVE IT! I don't use protein powder but I do eat protein bars and lots and lots of eggs and meat. I use Pure Protein bars right now with 20 g...but I'm gonna start buying the Premier Protein bars that have 30 g of protein. I'm all about protein and building muscle right now.

So always is getting an elliptical! WOOT! I love my treadmill and the fact that it's in the house and easy to jump on without a big production. I didn't get down there last night though...:?:...but I've really well with exercising lately so I'm not gonna beat myself up about it. I've never used an elliptical. Let us know how it goes.

Sounds like guiltypleasures is moving downward in the scales. :toast: You are doing GREAT! WOOHOO!!

And Robin and Bridget maintaining...YAY!

:)

Woot! Congrats! Great attitude!

i was always a little confused for a few weeks after I reached whatever goal I was working to finish. I didn't really know what to do so I just kept doing the same routines.

I lost 0.4 pounds making my total weight loss 66.4. I'm finally on the other side!!! I ran/walked a total of 6.5 miles last night. My first mile was at 6.5 mph and I did it in 9:14. When I was walking I did 4.5 mph, when I was running I did 6.5 mph. My 10K (6.2 miles) time was 1:06.

:toast:

Ha! I'm an idiot. THIs is the post I meant to quote above.

I guess it's true what my gf says. "I'm a dumb head."

Sorry for the absence and thanks you to all of the birthday well-wishers!

Also apologize for my English today. Still a little jittery from my morning run... :)

Didn't work out at all this weekend because I popped by back somehow doing sprints on Friday, but still lost 1 lb from Friday's weight. Feeling spry this morning so I pushed through 2 easy miles and then 2 more miserable miles. Ugh. :(

Plus, tonight starts 6 weeks of tabata to get prepared for Summer. At least it's shoulders. I love to work shoulders!

Have a good day health nuts!

Always, good advice up there ^^^^.

Find your paces for different workout goals and go from there. Instead of using distance as your starting measurement, I would use time. As a matter of fact, I always use time on bikes and chariots.

Start slow and easy and increase gradually until you find a pace that is challenging but maintainable. Now you have your first week's workout "level". Everyday add some time to your workout until you hit 30-40 minutes (including warm up), And every week add a little resistance to the main portion of your workout.

Also, if your machine has a "Health Assessment" function, use that to gauge what level and how long you should be working.

Good luck. It will come. Unless you're talking about weight, then that will go. :)
