The thing about Lehman's is they cater to the Amish that's how they started a long time ago,The Amish didn't use electric so their stuff needed to be well made so it will last

I thought about that when you posted that, and I think you're right.
I think when they do, it's very basic, utilitarian type things.
I think like that old style washing machine we were discussing a few weeks back...stuff like that, not so much things with all the bells and whistles...
I don't blame them for things like that...can you even imagine?!
Now, all THAT said, there was a documentary/series that ran on one of the cable channels about the "modern day" Amish, I watched one season of it, it's been several years ago.
Some of the younger ones drove cars, had cell phones, stereos, etc.
The older generation looked down on them, and even sometimes had them shunned, but no, I don't think it's as strictly adhered to as past generations.
