What color is it? just kidding if you turn the key to the on position not start you should hear the fuel pump prime for a few seconds if its working,if not first thing I look at is the ground wire for the pump

It could also be a fuel pump relay or fuse if a fuse is blown there's a reason or he could have got a bum pump another fine Chinese auto part

Yeah, he checked the fuses and nothing blown. BF did tell him to do that with the key and listen for the pump, but I don't think he did that...Just called him and told him to go check for that.

It might have fuses in the cab and under the hood look real close at the ones that say fuel or ECM

Yeah those are the ones bf had him check. He just listened for the pump and he could hear it, so no telling what it is. Tow truck is on the way, and without bf being there to be able to look at it, just dropping it off at my mechanic and I'll go by there in the morning and tell them what's going on...At least they're just down the road a couple of miles.

He hasn't installed anything on it so far...other than decals anyway.

It won't start. He was driving it last night and it just stopped while he was driving...he said it felt like it does when you run out of gas, but it had plenty of gas and he even had a friend bring some to put it just in case. He tries to turn over, but just goes rrr, rrr, rrr. Bf is thinking it might be the fuel pump he just had put in a couple of months ago, that it may have been a bad one...if that's the case, he'll come get it and take it back to his guy because it's under warranty, but he wants us to take it to our mechanic first to make sure that's what it is.

I'm thinking that one has coil packs fired by the ECM,if it does a quick way to see if it's firing is a squirt of starting fluid in the intake
