About 8" I think,Never really measured it :D

I thinking about walnut or SS and a few screws :)

True story
I thought about that after I posted it.
I gave you a woman's version of the fix that didn't require the use of special tools.
Guess you don't need to wait for someone to drill something.
I know how to drill, (kind of) I just don't mess with it.

dessert time :)

Wow! Lori's home already :?:

And Kad is lurking ;)
I even stopped at the bakery for croissants.
I'm usually home by 6, sometimes 10 til. :)
We've even already eaten. Ham and cheese croissants, cottage cheese, and pineapple chunks.
It was good. :)

Ehh, I still have to empty and reload the dw. :)

So, our store is pretty much pet friendly. There are a few who bring in their dogs.
A customer was in today with a really friendly pit bull. They saw Rita, because you can see through to our office if you walk by in the showroom. The gal asked if she could come see her, and the pit bull followed her (no leash, no collar). She asked if Rita was friendly with other dogs, and I said she's all bark, no bite.
...she barked.  She didn't want to be friends with the big dog...the big dog got his feelings hurt and laid down in our office about 3 feet from Rita's cage. Poor thing looked pitiful.
He was keeping an eye on his owners, and an eye on Rita, and trying to fight taking a nap.
They said he loved all people, and all animals.
    It was cute.

Awwww. Bet the dog LOVES going to work with all that meat! I googled Shih Tzu. I think I've seen it spelled ....zu though?? The gal I work with in my office has two...maybe one died. She's lost a couple the last couple years...she'd been up to 5. Down to 3. (she can't tell anyone no)
So is Elly! One of these big dogs around here could kill her with one bite!
    Oh, Rita too.
