    Yeah. :(
1st world problem though. ;) It's been about 15 years since I've changed them out.
I sewed the last ones, so that was a lot more work that just pressing.
But I doubt I could've found fabric for the price I got these for. I'd have had to hunt all over, that's for sure, and places just don't carry fabric like they used to 15 years ago. :(
Not many people know how to sew their own stuff anymore I bet, just crafts and things
Walmart and Hobby Lobby still carry quite a bit of material but all the strictly sewing supply stores are closed ... at least here they are.

The fabric would've had to have been less than $4 a yard.
Sometimes WM had cute fabrics in their $1 a yard bin, but it was hit and miss, then to do both windows, I'd have needed close to 14 yards. Can't remember now how many yards is on a bolt.
But I remember from last time it was kind of a bugger finding enough fabric to do both windows at a decent price without having to special order.

Do you have a Joann Fabric store around you?
There IS a really nice one not far. Plus (if it's still there) there is one (local owned fabric shop, not a chain) that carries really nice decorator fabrics....bad places for me!!!
What I bought was $26.80 per window...free shipping.
At that price, I just didn't want to make them.
But, I've always made all my window treatments, unless I've found a super bargain.
I don't do anything really elaborate, but yep...grew up sewing.
In fact, with my HS graduation money, I bought my very first (used) Singer Touch Tronic machine. :D
Took it in a few years ago for a tension issue, I debated getting it fixed or getting a new/used one.
They said OH NO, keep this one, no one makes anything as good as these were anymore.
I had them fix what needed fixed and do a good once over and cleaning, $85 later, good as NEW. :)

    Mostly here too.
I don't think the WM's around have much other than some odd notions, basic colors of thread, etc.
Hobby Lobby has a decent selection, Jo Ann Fabrics, and that local shop.
Then another fabric shop in a small town not far caters to quilters. I hear that's a really nice one too, but I haven't been there.

Well, when imported clothing began to flood the retailers, and patterns went to almost $10, a lot of people just quit sewing.
My mom sewed A LOT of all of our clothes. Have no idea how mother's of the previous generation found the hours in the day, but she worked full time, often 6 days because they owned their own business, and well, if there's work to be done, an all that...but yeah, I had my own little machine when I was 5.
It's in the basement somewhere.

Well ... she pretty much is

Thought about giving her a bath but it's not worth the effort of getting her out from under there
I thought about giving Rita a bath too, but not too seriously. I'm going to catch her tonight when she's tired and finish up her nails. I did once yesterday, but I have to go back and shorten them all a little more.
I catch her when she's tired because she doesn't fight it then.

So you're paying for the bottle ;)

Must get up and move around again....
They have them in plastic too.
Glass you pay a deposit, just like we did with pop bottles back in the day.
They even have holders for the bottles. You pay a deposit for that too, it's a metal carrier thing with a handle.

Yup it's good stuff,I could drink their chocolate till I pop :drool::drool::drool::laugh: BUT.............

This is the part that got old with me,I always forgot the bottles at home :-x
DH always liked the chocolate too, the gal I work with buys it all the time she said.
I haven't bought it in the bottles for a long time, I always forgot them too. When I ran out of room, or they put up a sign that they were short on bottles, I'd box them up and take them in.
The $ all comes out, if you take them now or later, I never worried much about it if I forgot the bottle.
Plus, I never liked to run out, so my bottle wasn't empty to take back.
I should get some, that's darn good stuff. Their cottage cheese is the bestest too!!
