19 Dump and Go Slow Cooker Recipes

Some of these look really good, thought I'd share. :)

Yum!! Thanks for sharing. :)

Good morning, fine Lurkers! Sitting here in Austin early for my appointment at the VA medical center. Hope everyone has a great day! Today is spectacular! Cooler, clear blue skies. A far cry from yesterday that was humid, hot, and some severe storms late in the day.

Good morning lurkers:wub::wub::wub:

Enjoying a day with the grand girls;) My waitressing job is done. My back just couldn't handle the sweeping and mopping at the end and driving home that late in the evening was getting old fast. I have to say I am relieved!

Paul, glad you're getting nice weather today!

Sara, there are a couple/few that I definitely want to try. :)
The following is a Pork Carnita Slow Cooker recipe from DH's sister. I've had it, and made it, it's very good!
In case you get tired of chicken. It should be pretty versatile too. :)

Pork Carnitas:

Pork shoulder (3 ½ to 4 lbs) roast (can use with or without bone…the one that we had did have bone in but I’ve used both)
1 can of beer (use a lite style beer like Coors lite or Miller lite).
½ bunch of cilantro chopped (keep the rest to put on the pork tacos)
1-2 whole jalapenos (if you want it hotter, use 2 and poke holes in the jalapenos)….I didn’t put holes in them
2 crushed garlic cloves
salt / pepper on roast

Cook on high for 4 hours (or until easily falling apart) or low 8 hours

Shred pork. Serve with tortillas, chopped tomatoes, red onion, avocado, cilantro, lime juice squeezed over top, then sprinkle kosher or sea salt on it. Can also add cheese if you want.

That’s it! Very easy and good.

The alcohol will cook out, so no worries with littles. :)

Bobbi, sorry to hear it just didn't work out, but hey, at least you tried and hung in there for awhile.
Hopefully something better suited for you will come along.

Lunchtime flyby....

Has turned into a beautiful day here, sunny and a light breeze...wish we had more days like this.

Bobbi, sorry the job didn't work, but I'm sure something better will come along for you...enjoy your time with your grands. :)

It's very nice here today, haven't even hit 70 yet but good golly we got wind!

Smashed my hand between a door frame and a bin of 150/200 pounds of meat  Got a huge bruise and little scrape, just call me grace

Glad you didn't break that hand Dale! That's a lot of weight for a single hand!

Thanks for all the sympathy but I can't say I am going to miss that job... the extra money maybe, but definitely not the job!:p
Me too! Hurts enough as it is!

I didn't figure you would miss the work ;) Just hard to find a decent job we can do anymore :(

Hi, Dale! Sorry about your hand. Glad you didn't break something.
Yes, it was a checkup. I've had several bouts of skin cancer so they want to keep tabs on me quite often.

    Sorry you hurt yourself.

Too much sun in my life. Luckily, any cutting has been fairly minor.
Dad too! I've avoided the sun most of my life .... you can tell too!

Seeing as I have the time finally. I'm gonna sit here for a bit and annoy you all!

    Instead of Dale?
OK, I'll try to remember that. Hope the rest of the day passes injury free for you Grace.
    Thanks ;)
