They sure don't look comfy, for short or long rides. He sure thought he looked cool though.
A guy I work with, his buddy has been in ICU for a couple weeks. He was riding in Belleville, on 159 down by where it meets with ?? 15 maybe. Around Auffenberg there is a motel and a gal basically pulled right into him.
Pretty much just ran him over. She never looked or slowed down coming out of the parking lot.
They said he was very lucky he was only a few blocks from the hospital.

Those big ships can't stop or turn real fast but that navy ship could,more than one person screwed up big time for sure !!
I might add the cargo ship had the right of way in this case under standard mariner law, some JO will burn for this one I'll bet

My my you guys were chatty tonight.
Made it home without any rain and it's actually clear out there now, but right after I got home, the dang power went out. The weird part is the people across the street all have power but no one on my side. And it's like every other street in my neighborhood is out. Just out of the blue. And it wasn't someone hitting a power pole because it's all underground utilities in here. So messed up.
I can't go to bed until they get it back on because one it's too hot and I still had a couple of things to do ....UGH!

What a weekend! I didn't get home until 11 Friday night. Then Saturday was project filled and yesterday did some more, mowed the lawn, and ended up quitting and eating dinner at 9! Ugh, these weekends are killers! And it was good and hot, but didn't feel all that bad because the humidity was down. That's coming back now though. Back to work this morning. Kind of glad. At least it's air conditioned and I can find a few minutes here and there to actually sit down.
Sara, our kids around here have been out of school for a couple of weeks, too. You guys run late with that! Hope you are feeling alright and not coming down with something!
