It's funny, where I live in Northern Indiana, almost no one knows what it is, or even what a persimmon is. Go 100 miles south to more the center of the state, and it's practically an official dessert.

It's very common here in the fall especially. I have made it a few times and it's time consuming to make but well worth it. My MIL makes it alot and always gives me some so I decided that was easier [emoji28]
