You and I must have different views on what persimmons look like.

Good morning Kad. :)
No, I couldn't figure out what the heck that was she'd posted, I was grasping. ;)
The older generations around here knows about persimmon desserts, the younger generations, not so much.
My brother loves persimmon anything.
He's a rural mail carrier and a woman on his route has them, she gives him at least a grocery bag or two full each year.

Do they kind of taste like mushy raisins? Otherwise, I can't even say if I ever tried them.

Good morning,dale,Kad and Bobbi:wub:
Good morning Fran.

Good morning Rachel.

It's funny, where I live in Northern Indiana, almost no one knows what it is, or even what a persimmon is. Go 100 miles south to more the center of the state, and it's practically an official dessert.
I commented to this above.:facepalm:

Hi Dale, Bobbi, kad, Fran, MB and Lurkers :)
Good morning Joey. :)

Have a good day everyone I need some sleep :)
Sweet dreams.

Ah....working on my first.

    Good morning Lori

Actually I got up at 1, it took me a long time to assemble breakfast

And less than 3 hours sleep was definitely not enough to go on

I honestly have no clue what they taste like on their own. Persimmon pudding like in the picture I posted is a must have though in my family at Thanksgiving. But I'm at a loss for how to describe it. I just know my Aunt used to make it every year, and now my cousin does, and I've heard both of them talk about how it takes a lot of work. In fact the last couple years, my cousin paid extra to buy the pulp instead of doing it herself.
