Hopefully this works ok from my phone. ;)
But but ... I thought you were just talking about delaying those :?:

Good morning Joey
Closest I've come to that is deer season, gets old :(

Good morning Paul
Yikes! Hope some trucks get to you soon!

Good morning Sara
Hope you have more energy than I'm feeling this morning ;)

Ehhhh, I think we might be equal on that energy ;) Busy week and I could use a nap right about now. Lol Good thing I took tomorrow off. Bwahaha but I'm afraid it will be a busy one too.

Good morning, Sara . Yes, a plant producing organic peroxides in Crosby has exploded twice. Everyone is evacuated for a mile and a half around it. So far, it's just non-lethal stuff that's burning and will produce eye and throat irritation.

Prayers that it stays non lethal. I hope the trucks can get in with some supplies.

Morning Lurkers.
Paul, I sure hope all truck gets to you guys with groceries. We are always well stocked with food in our frexperience but often forget about the fresh foods. I had always wondered why my mom use to keep some milk and bread in the freezer. Now I get it.
Thanks for the coffee KC!

Well time to get going. Mya has an appointment at 8:00 and lazy me is still in her PJs.

We should start stock up like this for emergencies. Never thought too much about it because we only see snowstorms. Nothing like the states affected by hurricanes/flooding. Good luck with Mya's appt today.

Another one  I need to talk to the onion growers Association of the USA LLC about a kickback this week for the promotion of their products :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: And I might call Tic Tac too :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I do about the same thing, always have canned & powered milk and stuff for making bread on hand just because ;)

Best of luck with Mya today :nun:

I do that all the time because I strongly dislike shopping at WW guess that means I'm a commiserate r too :D

Onion rings are the best!! We always share one of those blooming onion thingamajigs at the State Fair every year. Yum!! Speaking of which YAY!!! It's State Fair weekend!! Woot!!

I wonder if the found that poor child's father yet
I hope so! Poor kiddo, I can't imagine. :(
The prayers and good thoughts have certainly helped!!

Went to the store at lunchtime and the trucks had arrived! Got my gallon of milk, some chips and cereal, and a couple of other things! I'm happy now. I notice the evacuation place next door to where I work is empty. Maybe went back to Houston? A couple of our gas stations are out of gas and diesel. Love's truck stop still has gas, but they have their own tankers to supply them. I say it'll be nice to have things back to normal, and for me, might be fairly quick. Sure feel for the others who won't be back to normal for a long time,if ever. Guess I'd better get moving and get some work done. Have a good afternoon!

Lucky you. :) I just heard from my girlfriend that there is no gas to be found in the area around Ft Hood.
It seems to be affecting us all over. Glad I filled both vehicles Friday before it hit the fan. So, Temple is even out of gas? Wow, that's 3 hours from me. I would imagine it's due to not being able to get tanker trucks up there.

Can't speak for Temple, she basically reported on Killeen, and a bit East (Harker Heights) and West (Copperas Cove)
I do know someone in Temple I could ask though.

It's all pretty close to one another. I'm glad I don't have a VA appointment in Temple! Bad enough around here. Now they shut down a refinery that accounts for 19% of the nation's refined products. That will hurt.

Yeah, fairly close. As I recall it took about 45 minutes to get from Atcha's place (near Cove) to Deb's in Temple.

They'd call that neighbors in N. Dakota too.
I remember the first time we were there at DH's Uncle's house, we were going to go out to the family farm...it was just outside of town, not far....FORTY miles...one way.

Are they rationing gas at the stations? I know when my nephew lived in Satellite Beach, I think it was Rita, just after Katrina, Orlando was the closest that had gas...about an hour away if traffic wasn't bad.
They would send people with a pick up truck that was full of big gas cans.
I think they were giving those who went for it about $5 a gallon for their time and in appreciation for going.

I did hear they turned loose some gas from the emergency reserves, but if they can't get there because of flooded roads, that still isn't going to help anyone. :(

Sorry you have such tough days. :(
I had a rather long one myself. Good dental cleaning, and I like my new dentist and his office.
The hygienist that took care of me did a much better job than the one I used to have.
The chair has a BACK MASSAGER built in, when I sat down, she pointed to a remote control and said I could turn the tv on and watch whatever channel I wanted, I looked up, and there was a tv hanging right above my head.
They had a sign up in the waiting room that had their wi-fi password and said to enjoy free internet on your phone or other device while you waited, they had a little fridge with baby size water bottles, and a sign on the door to help yourself to a beverage!!
In the bathroom, there was a GINORMOUS bottle of mouthwash with a pumper dispenser, and a stack of cups....gosh, how about that!!!
I only changed dentists because mine retired, finally at 80 years old.
He's a young 80 though, very active, and I'd have never guessed he was 80, but his hands are shot, mostly from holding the tools for over 50 years.
I'm now going to his son now, he's a year younger than me.
We used to ride the school bus together.
