About typical for when the boss is away...I guess that's why she made me office manager because she knows I'll handle it, but dang, I'm worn out!

I'm gonna pass on dessert...I'm still full from my late lunch, and I'd rather have this nice "adult beverage" I'm enjoying right now instead. :p:D

I'm enjoying a short shot sized glass of disarrono as a celebratory thing. Just sipping it and damn it tastes good!

Well I do get some perks out of it too...I mean how many jobs take you out to lunch every now and then and buy you beer while you're still on the clock? :D...Although I am still lobbying to get that margarita machine in the office.

Aw, sorry you're not getting good sleep...hope you get some tonight...I'm doubling up on my drink just to make sure I do. :p

    :( I can't like that one.

They'd call that neighbors in N. Dakota too.
I remember the first time we were there at DH's Uncle's house, we were going to go out to the family farm...it was just outside of town, not far....FORTY miles...one way.

Are they rationing gas at the stations? I know when my nephew lived in Satellite Beach, I think it was Rita, just after Katrina, Orlando was the closest that had gas...about an hour away if traffic wasn't bad.
They would send people with a pick up truck that was full of big gas cans.
I think they were giving those who went for it about $5 a gallon for their time and in appreciation for going.

I did hear they turned loose some gas from the emergency reserves, but if they can't get there because of flooded roads, that still isn't going to help anyone. :(

Sorry you have such tough days. :(
I had a rather long one myself. Good dental cleaning, and I like my new dentist and his office.
The hygienist that took care of me did a much better job than the one I used to have.
The chair has a BACK MASSAGER built in, when I sat down, she pointed to a remote control and said I could turn the tv on and watch whatever channel I wanted, I looked up, and there was a tv hanging right above my head.
They had a sign up in the waiting room that had their wi-fi password and said to enjoy free internet on your phone or other device while you waited, they had a little fridge with baby size water bottles, and a sign on the door to help yourself to a beverage!!
In the bathroom, there was a GINORMOUS bottle of mouthwash with a pumper dispenser, and a stack of cups....gosh, how about that!!!
I only changed dentists because mine retired, finally at 80 years old.
He's a young 80 though, very active, and I'd have never guessed he was 80, but his hands are shot, mostly from holding the tools for over 50 years.
I'm now going to his son now, he's a year younger than me.
We used to ride the school bus together.
Ft Hood is Central TX, well North of the flooding. I suspect that they are running out of gas due to a combination of extra traffic from refugees, from relief and rescue organization heading south (also FEMA is using Ft Hood as a staging area) and from limited shipments coming from the South.

Sara did a phone mega :matrix::w00t::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::toast:

 I was surprised it made it in one piece. Lol

Went to the store at lunchtime and the trucks had arrived! Got my gallon of milk, some chips and cereal, and a couple of other things! I'm happy now. I notice the evacuation place next door to where I work is empty. Maybe went back to Houston? A couple of our gas stations are out of gas and diesel. Love's truck stop still has gas, but they have their own tankers to supply them. I say it'll be nice to have things back to normal, and for me, might be fairly quick. Sure feel for the others who won't be back to normal for a long time,if ever. Guess I'd better get moving and get some work done. Have a good afternoon!

Yay! Glad you were able to get some stuff. Eeeeks about the fuel. :( I hope things get back to normal soon for as many as it can. I know it will be a long time for a lot.

Whoah, I'm jealous!! All my dentist provides is a travel sized toothpaste, sample of floss and a new toothbrush. ;) I'd skip that for a massage and TV lolol.

Kiddo's dentist has tv's on the ceiling and they can watch movies. Last time he went they didn't call him in quick enough though, the girl before him chose Frozen. So he was stuck with "let it go, let it gooooo" :sneaky:

    Ooooh, #3,

I'm sorry you've had a rough week. I'm glad you get Monday off, as you should! I hope you get to relax this weekend. Forgot to tell you, DH won a $150 gift cert for a local butcher at a fundraiser. I figured we'd get whatever they packaged up, but it sounds like we can pick and choose . Just not sure if there's any room in the freezer :facepalm:

Calling it a night...football is on and I have a few things to get finished to get ready for the weekend.

    Sweet dreams lovely lurkers.

Sorry you too have had a rough week. Hopefully this weekend will leave you feeling refreshed! Sweet dreams Angel
