I wondered where you were, glad you’re okay but sorry you’re out in that cold!

Careful driving home please ;)
No, I didn't get out in it...haven't driven anywhere. :)

I was expecting ice and light snow but didn't get much of anything other than a bunch of rain,it was still warm enough that it just dried up or freeze dried last night :D
It got here after it got really cold.
Thankfully, before it started sleeting, it had been so windy that it dried the patio, mostly...before it sleeted.
It had been thoroughly saturated from raining off and on all day. It's still slick and iced, but not like it might have been.
We didn't get a lot of ice, just enough that you bust your you know what if you're not careful.

Actually helps the hip right now, I have been putting ice on it to help with swelling :)
Sorry you're still having pain and swelling! :(

Guess I’ll go play with my dragons ;)

Good night lovely and handsome Lurkers
Sweet dreams Dale.

Guess I'll say goodnight as well.
Sweet dreams all.

Oh, you still have swelling? How long has it been, I lose track of time

No, I didn't get out in it...haven't driven anywhere. :)

Good morning, Lurkers:wub:

Not so bad here this morning. 30º and dry, I think.

It's been a heck of a week and getting worse. I worked so much I didn't even get much of any chance to check in by cellphone, and by the time I got home, dinner prep, animals to care for, then we ate and watched a little TV and I fell asleep in the recliner every night until dw got me up to run me off to bed. I might end up with 6 and 7 day weeks for a couple of months, it's that crazy now.

No chance to go through and see what's been going on, but hopefully everyone is getting better from illnesses, surgeries and what not and staying warm.

    Good morning Paul

Sorry you’re having to work so much for so long, that’s no way to live :(

26 here at the moment, expect it will fall a few more degrees before daylight.

    Good morning, Dale
I agree with you, and it's not on my list of things I like to do, but we just happen to get a big job and they have to be in by April 13th because of a construction loan. The builder is up against the wall on this, too. This is a new construction that would normally take about 6 months to do, so everyone is going to jump through hoops to make it happen.

It is cold here and will be until the end of next week with the temps not getting out of the 20’s as a high. I hate winter time :(

Good morning Paul, Dale, Joey and lurkers

Paul, I'm with Dale. I'm sorry you are working as much as you are. I know it needs to be done but it still stinks. :(

Dale, how's your strep? Much better I hope as you've been on antibiotics for a few days now.

Joey, sorry you're still dealing with swelling. Is that normal? I too HATE winter and everything that goes along with it.

Waiting for DH to return home with some box fans and construction size garbage bags :( Apparently our sump pump alarm decided yesterday was the day it wasn't going to work and the sump pump failed but we got it going. We had about 5 inches of water in the basement last night. Roads/weather were really bad and we couldn't get out to the store last night. I have major anxiety about black mold and water damage. Most of our stuff is up on cinder blocks or in plastic totes but we did have a fair amount of things on the floor. I know, I know. Lesson learned. It was on our list of things to do this spring to get more blocks and plywood.:cry::cry:

    Good morning Sara

Glad to hear you are better  But sorry you didn't sleep well.

Yay for sleeping in :) Laundry is the bane of my existence. ;)

Thanks girls. Most of what was tossed were extras from the build. Course the Christmas tree will have to be replaced and I had a 3 crock crockpot that was on the floor from moving Christmas totes around. Not enough rice in the house to evaporate water that got in it :lol::lol: I did manage to pick out some pieces of the wood flooring that I think are salvageable and some wire shelving.

What upsets me is that after inspecting the sump pump it's not that the alarm stopped working, the alarm float was never put on. I don't even see that part anywhere in the basement. We ordered a new alarm with wifi to notify us in the event of another problem. Should be here Monday.

We were lucky, it could have been much much worse.

Hope you all are having a good day :)

Yep, I'm up and moving/starting chores as well...and dressed. :)
Been to town and got that out of the way :thumb:

Had lunch at Cajun Boilers ... not particularly impressed.

Im not doing anything except what I need to for my leg. I have to depend on people here to do things for me yet, it is getting old real fast!!!
Is someone a tad cranky today? ;)
