Good evening all.
We're home, unpacked, tried to nap, dozed maybe about 15 minutes.
Hoping to sleep really well tonight!!

I'm with OBG. Pass the GATOR!! It's good Sara, if you ever have a chance, DO at least try it.
It tastes like a combination of pork and chicken. VERY clean, not a fishy anything.
I only had it once at a wedding reception, I was reluctant to try it, but was so glad I did.
It's good. No reason to shy away from it. :)

Welcome Peter! :)

Sorry, didn't check in like I'd planned.
We were busy a good deal of the time, and when we weren't, I was messing with Rita, or getting showered, etc.
We packed a lot into the short time we were there.
Since we didn't get in until just before 9 on Wed. night, we just had Thurs., Fri., and Sat.
Thurs, was picking up DH's uncle from the airport, lunch out, grocery store run, dinner, sunset boat ride, then bed.
The sun doesn't set there until 9:10 p.m., so by the time we'd get in from the water, get my bath or shower, visit a bit, I just didn't get online really. :)
The weather there was absolutely beautiful! 50 degrees this a.m.!!!

Heading off to go soak, I'll try to pop back in before bedtime.

...oh...forgot Friday and Saturday.
Friday was other errands, and another grocery store run...seems we go by the grocery store for something everyday...or almost everyday.
Saturday was the graduation open house. DH's sister and her husband (and various others) pulled together a really nice open house for DH's nephew.
Lots of people came through, great food, very nice time.
So glad we were able to go and share the celebration with him, he's such a good kid, very smart, great attitude, just such a bright future.
I think I've mentioned he'll be attending Michigan State, he was accepted into the engineering program, and because he's already taken a lot of classes that accumulate college credits, he'll start this fall as a sophomore.
He has a summer job that starts next week (40 hours a week) he'll be working where his father works, but in the computer tech division. He said he'll be writing some ?? macro programs, and going through websites or pages that are only in beta at the moment...something like that...was all foreign to me what he was talking about.

    Good morning, Lurkers:wub:

Did someone mention gator yesterday? Yummm!!!! I haven't had it in years.

Joey, sorry you're having to replace your brakes so soon! I've got the same rear brakes since 2012. Just had the front ones done before my first trip to Dallas, and those were at least 6 years old. I suspect that something wasn't done right, or you're terrible on brakeso_O.
It was hotter than blazes this weekend. Did nothing outside. Actually did very little inside. We worked up in the attic room clearing the area I'll be working. We have a window air conditioner up there that struggled to cool it off to 90°. Kind of uncomfortable.
You all have a good day. Stay cool!

    Hi Paul :)

We do a lot of driving usually change front pads and rotors every 3 years. I changed them both out the last time with no problems. One of the rotors has groves in it so I am suspecting defective pads. Not happy because now I have to pay someone to do it.

I don't do a heck of a lot of driving. I haven't changed my own brakes in a few years. My mechanic is very reasonable, honest and has a one year parts and labor warranty valid anywhere in the country. Plus includes a $75 towing reimbursement. I just can't beat that. Plus it saves me all the pain and aggravating of working on my vehicle. I used to do my own many years ago before all the electronics, smog stuff and extra stuff they put on them now.
