    Good afternoon, Lurkers:wub:

I'm glad it's Friday. Although it's still going to be hot. We seriously need some rain! I'd even take a small hurricane right about now. I just can't keep up with this or any thread. Back to work. Later all:D.
Good afternoon Paul  We still like it when you drop in :)

We’re desperately needing rain too ... it’s raining somewhere though as the temperature dropped to 74.

    Apparently this never posted

The storm is coming! :w00t: Rolling off the mountain.

Whaaa? Are you saying we’re chatty Cathy’s? sorry it’s so hot and no rain. Don’t work yourself too hard....easier said than done for you, I know.

Heading off to soak and try to relax. Working tomorrow. :nah:

Awww, sorry Lori. :( I hope you aren’t working a full day.

    Sweet dreams lurkers

That will not happen  I had to fight to get a different pump that is better than the crap pump I had put in without spending any more money :D

Always keep at least a 1/4 of a tank of fuel in it and it will last longer,in hot weather 3/4 is even better because the fuel flows around the motor to cool it :2c:

    Hey obg :)

The brand of pump that was put in has been known to fail that I learned afterwards of course. We try to keep 1/2 a tank in it at all times if possible. :)

    Good morning all.

Hey there Paul, sorry you're always so darn busy, and that Texas is so hot. :(. But like Dale said, still like that you pop in from time to time even if you're not caught up. :)

8-1 Sara, unless we stay after the store closes.

Hiya OBG, was wondering where you slipped off to.

Oh Dale, glad you're storms weren't more severe!
Also saw you were up and online before 4. :(

Off to eat and get ready, have a good day all.

Storm got rough and we were without power all evening o_O I love a good storm but that one made even me nervous  The trees were really bending over, can’t believe they didn’t snap into!
Good morning Dale. That sounds scary. Thank goodness it wasn’t worse.

Making bacon this morning and I’m attempting to save the grease. (I’m planning on trying to make some refried beans tomorrow) I’ve read glass container is the way to go. How do you guys store it? How long does it last...should I even ask that question.

Dale, I had forgotten you said your power went out. Eeeesh, sorry you didn’t sleep well. :(

    Hiya Sara

I am in a Italian recipe group on fb and asked about saving the grease from frying up all meats. So I guess you can apply this to bacon grease. You need a coffee filter or strainer and a funnel. Two ways to go about storing,

For 1 week storage any type of jar with a lid I use ball jars, after you strain the grease into the jar put it in the frig. Best to do while grease is warm and in liquid form.

For 3-4 weeks strain grease into a freezer bag and put it in the freezer.

Depending which method I would not use grease after those times. :)

Good morning Joey  startin’ early are ya?
    Oh hell yeah :lol::lol:

Thank you. Truly appreciate it. I wanted to get info from people I know vs strangers on the internet, oh wait o_Oo_Oo_O Bwahahaha

    Tried and true methods. :)

I only saved enough for the refried beans because well....not healthy and I don’t have any empty bell jars. So it’s in a glass Pyrex w plastic lid. Should be fine overnight, I would hope. Maybe I’ll make the beans today. Will get some small jars at the store for the future.
