Good evening lurkers

Oh no, Dale :( I wondered if everything was ok as it has been a couple days since she was on. Keeping them in my thoughts :nun:

Joey, happy to hear you have a long weekend too!! Enjoy the time off and NY is right there with you in regards to the crappy weather. :nah:

Today was literally a :censored:show and I will spare you the details but I will say it had nothing to do with me. Lol We started out in the 60s and dropped pretty quickly with misty rain most of the day. Sun is out now but it’s cold and extremely windy :nah:

I think I might have asked you before, Dale, but how do you make your goulash? We do ground beef, sauce and mozz. Sometimes maybe onions, mushrooms, peppers added to the sauce.

Dh made it home safe. Spent a few hours with kiddo and then off to a meeting. He said he would bring home a pizza. Yum!! But another cheat day, I guess lol.

Oof sorry you had a bad day, at least it’s over for three days :thumb:

‘The base is ground beef, tomato soup , spices and velveeta cheese. Then I add pretty much whatever I want, vegetables, pasta , onions ...
you know, everything but the kitchen sink  Got tonight’s a little too spicy but we’re eating it anyway

Thank you Dale for posting why I have been MIA. I'll take all the prayers and good thoughts y'all can spare.

They removed a little over 2 liters of fluid from his lungs which made him feel noticeably better. Thank goodness I have nic in the freezer and understood what they were telling me. Hee hee

I have my phone charger now and a couple of tablets to help me get through the night. Times like this I am grateful I cannot sleep. He is experiencing Sundowners Syndrome which is common for elderly in the hospital. I have been "fighting" him off and on (mostly on) for six and a half hours. Please don't think I am complaining. I'm not, I'm just tired.

Thanks for listening. Sorry for the long post.

    Good morning Dale

Oh wow, Rat2. :( Glad to hear he is feeling a bit better. Continued thoughts your way! We know how much you love your dad and want the best for him. It’s ok to get stuff off your chest, I’m sure it’s exhausting being the caregiver for him. (((Hugs)))

Mmm sounds fabulous, Dale. Will have to try it some day. We have a lot of tomato soup to use lol

Yeah, definitely looking forward to some time away. We are still operating by appointment only but some days can be rough. Lol

Hope everyone has a decent day!!

I just came down to the canteen while PT is with dad. He finally calmed down around 4:30 and woke me up at 6:30 wanting his breakfast. Heehee Bless his heart.

If this coffee was any better I might just think about doing a little dance. (I'm glad it is not):p

You all have a good day.

We had a rough night but today has been good. Let's just say an 88 year old, retired Policeman can be interesting while not in his right mind. A bit of Sundowners Syndrome going on. He finally calmed down at 4:15 and woke me up at 6:30 asking where his breakfast was. Sheesh!

Got all his wires off today and hopefully he can go home tomorrow. I think I am happy. Definitely happy about a shower and my bed!

Hope everyone has had a good Good Friday.
