Oh I don't have audio books. It is hard to believe but I can read my phone kindle and walk at the same time. heehee Yes, I know that would not work for you. View attachment 973321

I cannot believe it is Friday again myself. Another fast week. My cousin called and wanted me to go out to lunch with her and my aunt but they wanted just the "girls" to go. My dad loves the hotdogs where they are going and I just did not have the heart to tell him he could not go. I am not really comfortable with leaving him by himself just yet. I would come closer to going if it was raining because I know he would stay in his chair watching tv. It is a gorgeous day and he goes outside a lot. Oh well, maybe next time.

Does anyone have any exciting plans for the weekend?
    Good morning Rat2
Oh okay, I wondered if walking with a kindle was doable :thumb:

‘Aw I’m sad you feel you can’t join the ladies for lunch :(

Exciting plans don’t fit in our life style
I am going grocery shopping, that’s about as exciting as my life gets these days
We’ve got some sunshine today finally so it’s a good day to get out.

    Good evening ladies

I laughed at your response to me, Dale, not that you wouldn’t be able to listen to audiobooks. :(

I’m sorry you weren’t able to go to a girl’s lunch, Rat2 but definitely understand why you didn’t.

The boys came and had lunch with me since it is the last day of Spring break for kiddo. We had Burger King. Love their chicken sandwiches although not sure how much chicken is actually in it lol. Now I’m still full, so dinner is a free for all. :thumb:

I have to finish the laundry room this weekend because someone is coming to clean the dryer vent next week. Our laundry is on the 2nd floor and vents through the roof. And I have to vacuum the pool as that was opened last week  Glad it’s going to be in the 60s/70s this weekend.

    Love their chicken sandwiches
I have never tried their chicken sandwich. I'll have to try it next time I go.

We had breakfast for supper tonight. Country ham and all the rest of a big breakfast. I just ate a cheese and egg bagel. I was glad to see dad clean his plate. He has not had much of an appetite this week.

I walked for an hour this morning but I am going to go walk again because I am 99.9% sure I am going to eat a chocolate-covered donut tonight. 1f369_doughnut.gif

Good evening Sara and Rat2 :)

‘I haven’t had a chicken sandwich from BK but really like the spicy one from Wendy’s. Any excuse not to cook is a winner :D

We had stuffed pork chops that I found at Harps, they were really good . First we’ve ever eaten. Also fresh corn on the cob, green beans and leftover cabbage. The green beans DH got the other day with his fish, I didn’t eat any of those... they taste funky to me.

The sandwich is the “original” chicken sandwich (oblong chicken patty which is why I’m skeptical but it’s sooo good) I think there are a couple different ones on the menu. I haven’t tried the one from Wendy’s. Will have to check it out. I do like spicy things as well.

Always love breakfast for dinner. I ended up with a hardboiled egg and some carrots. Weird I know. Lolol.

Jealous of the stuffed pork chops, Dale! What were they stuffed with? We have gotten some stuffed with a stuffing mix.

corn-on-the-cob-smiley-emoticon.gif Shoot, I've never had the spicy chicken at Wendy's either. I need to get out more. heehee Dale that supper sounds so good to me. I have not had fresh corn yet.

It does not look like I'm going to have watermelon this year either unless it comes down. At Sam's the other day they were $9 and something. I will not pay that much. Nope. I'll do without. I really love watermelon, so it will make me sad.

Any chance you could get it from a local farmer?
I don't know any but we do have a Farmer's Market. I am almost afraid to try there because they tend to be rather high too.

Maybe when they don't sell, they will lower the price. Maybe. Greedy you-know-whats. heehee I can live without it and just buy other goodies. I have not priced cantaloupes yet. I love those too.

Don’t really know Sara, looked like stove top stuffing to me
You on a diet or just not very hungry?

I can’t wait for fresh corn here. Best time of the year.

I was still full from lunch, probably all the grease  No point in adding too many more calories. At the same time, I didn’t want to skip a meal because that is not good either.

Ooooh lazy meal idea for you then, should you ever get those again. Crock pot.

    Stuffed pork chops
Italian seasoning to taste or skip
    salt/pepper
1 can cream of whatever you prefer
    8oz of sour cream
    1 box of stuffing mix
    3/4 c broth you like
2 cups of any fresh veggie you like.

Cook on high 4hrs or low 6-7hrs. Depending on how you like your added veggies, add them in when you get want so they aren’t over done.

Is the stuffing mixed in or just on top to absorb the flavors? That looks really good to me. I love crockpot recipes. Sorry for the silly question. ht.gif

No questions are silly. I toss the meat in the crock, sometimes stuffed sometimes not. Stuffed is just bonus stuffing to me lol

In a separate bowl I mix the boxed stuffing with the soup, sour cream, broth, seasonings and pour over the meat. Cook on low for 8 hours. I usually do the veggie on it’s own because I don’t like mush.

I hope you gals do try it one day. I only found the recipe a few years ago and have tweaked it to what we prefer. I am all for something easy especially with an easy cleanup. I usually pair it with a potato (mashed or baked)

Definitely time for bed, not looking forward to that deep cleaning of the laundry room.
