Good afternoon Rat2 and Joey

I’m in the same boat Rat2, sitting around doing a whole lot of nothing  Course it’s storming so that’s my excuse :sneaky: Won’t work tomorrow as I go back to the audiologist for a fitting then hopefully I’ll get some groceries... depending on how hard it’s raining

I’m sure you’re not looking forward to that Joey :( What’s happening with the supervisor job?

    Hi knotty
Thanks ... that young man of mine still hasn’t joined me in the 60’s :p

    Good evening lurkers

Hope your fitting goes well, Dale.

I’m sorry, Joey. I don’t blame you for not wanting to work 6/2.

I have a love/hate relationship with those kinds of days. ;)

Today was beautiful and tomorrow back to rain. Kiddo’s 8th grade graduation is tomorrow night  I can’t believe it  he and I have been on the outs so much lately. Growing pains, I know.

Hope you all have a lovely evening.

    Good evening Sara
Sorry you’re suffering the youth, all part of it I’m afraid :(

We’re having a full week of stormy weather. I’m hoping it isn’t too bad tomorrow while I’m out as I really need to get some groceries.

My need for salad mix won and I had to go to the store. Went to Aldi's and got the idea I wanted my first BLT sandwich of the season. Got my bacon and lettuce and then could not find a darn tomato. None. Not even a grape tomato. That made me mad so I put the other stuff back. Got out to the car and told dad about it and he said a BLT sure would be good so here I go to Lidl's, another grocery store.

Got to Lidl's and they had bacon for $3.85. I thought that sounded like a good price considering. It said "Irregular Sliced". Never noticed that before. I felt like I was buying bacon bloopers but hey, I don't care.

After having to go to two grocery stores, dad said the bacon was not crisp enough, the tomato did not have much flavor and I should have cut his ear of corn in half. He could not find anything wrong with the salad, apple sauce and chocolate pudding. Sheesh! Yeah, he's feeling better.

I on the other hand. . . enjoy each and every bite.

I don't mind dad being in a snit at supper because after I get the kitchen cleaned I go and take a walk. I seem to walk faster when I am perturbed so really he is doing me a favor. heehee By the time I finished walking 5 and a half miles, I was back to my adorable self.

    Good afternoon everyone:)
Well I’ve got two hearing aids on for trial, we’ll see how it goes. So far they’re okay but I’m not around many people except Sunday. Higher tech than I’m used to, surprised I can use them.
Lower end cost wise so about 4000.00 if we buy them. 30 day trial ;)

It has been a beautiful day here. In the 80's but a good constant breeze. I could close my eyes and almost feel like I was at the beach. (I wish I was)

Did the taking fish and shrimp to my aunts for supper. They enjoyed it. I passed on the fried foods and had a salad. It was excellent. Dad said he was going to mow tomorrow so I told him I was going to do the trim work and edging tonight while it was cool. He said I could not. He was wrong.

He prefers me to do it in the hot part of the day when the sun bakes my brain and the chance of having a heat stroke is higher. I normally just do whatever he says because I don't want to upset him. Tonight for some reason, I was wearing my big girl panties and I mowed the darn yard. I had to give myself an "Attagirl". heehee

After I got finished, I was still feeling so good that I took another walk and finished my book. Ended up walking 8.9 miles today.

I am thinking there is a good chance I will sleep soundly. I sure hope so.
