Thanks, everyone, I am glad it is over and I really did not need to worry as much as I did. That is just what I do. heehee

My throat felt scratchy last night and I woke up with a sore throat this morning. I hope it goes away. I cannot remember the last time I had something like this. I did have a lot of drainage yesterday and blew the o'l nose a bunch. Maybe I have a cold. Been so long that I don't really remember what they feel like. Oh well, I don't feel bad and I am going to the gym as soon as they open. I am trying to donate blood again at 1 today and then I have to give a sample at the doctor's office at 4. I have a busy day. heehee

Hope everyone has a great start to the new week!

Oh yesterday I was pretty productive. I have small windows beside my front door that people could see in. I have never liked them so yesterday I covered them with contact paper and I love it now.

This pic is just to show the difference between with and without. I finished and did all 8 windows. I am going to get some more at the $1.25 store and put it on the door and window on the side of the garage. I need the light but do not want someone to look in and see if there is something they want to "borrow". heehee

I am really turning into a safety girl. I guess I am thinking about things differently since I am alone for the first time in my life. (which is wonderful by the way)

It looks better in person than it does on this pic but anyhoo, just sharing.

The coffee sure tastes good this morning and I think it is helping my throat feel better. (positive thinking)

Oh no Rat2. I hope it’s just one of those seasonal things! Sleep with a slice of onion on your feet, in your socks. ;)

I absolutely love the windows! You’ve got me thinking….I never did like that window on the side of our garage.

We had frozen raviolis, chef salad and garlic bread for dinner. Dh cooked.

Short week for me, this week and for the next few. I have the next few Fridays off and then the week between Christmas and New Year’s off.

Yum Dale, that sounds better than frozen ravioli  they were not homemade ;)

Last of my vacation time for 2022. I wait all year for these days.

So I have an onion, garlic, honey and sugar concoction on the stove. It’s supposed to kill a cough (Kiddo’s symptoms are currently mimicking a regular cold now) He did go to school today because there hasn’t been a fever for a couple days. Fingers crossed this actually works. It would be so much cheaper than commercial cough syrup. I will let you know. Not totally sure the chopped up red onion bedside did much but he wouldn’t let me put them on his feet. if I happen to come down with anything, I will certainly try it. Nothing to lose. ;)

    Good morning lurkers

Well, I am happy to report that I did not cough once after taking a spoonful of it. However, I wasn’t coughing before  As for kiddo, I did hear him a couple of times. Would it have been more without, not sure.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!
    Good morning Sara
‘How wonderful that it works, sounds like it would taste really strange though

‘’Hope you have a wonderful day also, I’m back to work too.

I would definitely do the onion in the socks if I was coughing a lot. I have heard that for a long time and never really had the chance to test it. My throat is a little better today.

How much of each is in the recipe? I have a friend that keeps a cough with her lung condition. Natural is always the way to in my opinion.

Tried to donate again and was deferred. My iron was still not up to par even though I have been taking B12. I had some bloodwork done at the doctor's office yesterday. The Red Yeast Rice has reduced my cholesterol from 260 to 201 in 90 days. The triglycerides went up though. I'm going to research that some.

My thyroid has been messed up since I went off the natural pig gland. Since she is taking me off the synthetic and putting me on NP Thyroid, I hope I will be feeling better soon. She did not understand why I was doing as well as I was because my TSH is 11.22 which is not good. I was on Armour Thyroid for 19 years and never had one single bad blood test or the symptoms I am having now.

My blood pressure has been running low also lately. It was 118/54 yesterday. She wanted to half my dosage and keep a list of my BP for a couple of weeks. I convinced her to let me go off of it and I will keep a list. I do not have a problem with being on medication as long as it is doing what it is supposed to do.

I am really hoping that the natural thyroid may even help with my hair thinning/loss. Since my stress levels had decreased, I honestly don't think my hair is falling out as bad. Stress can do so much. I am just glad to be going back on a natural med because it worked so well before.

I had lost 9 pounds since my Sept. visit and I hope I do the same when I go back in 4 months for a re-check. Everyone says I do not need to lose anymore but I just want to drop 10 more and I will be happy. I have started to feel like the workouts I am doing are firming up some. Not enough to stop me from pondering plastic surgery.
