Thanks everyone for caring about my friend. He is such an interesting man. I could listen to him talk for hours. He knows his history. Of course, when we get together me and his wife Sharon run our mouths so much he can hardly get a word in edgewise. Especially me.

Could not go to sleep last night so after trying for so long, I just finished reading my book. Finally got sleepy this morning. Hence, the late start to my day. That's okay if I am moving slow again today. Who cares? heehee

My hands do feel much better this morning. I think the horse linament helped. Who knows. For whatever reason, I'm glad. Especially since I have 22 more darn bushes to trim. Just SMH.

Just got home from the pancake breakfast. They had a basket raffle as well and we made out like bandits. Dog toys/treat basket, gift certificate to a restaurant we like, chocolate and wine, patriotic basket and another that had springy paper plates/napkins that I thought would be perfect for Easter next year. We will donate some of the stuff back along with the baskets they came in. And wouldn’t ya know it, the Sports complex that held winter soccer snuck in another game. Tonight. 8:25. I am not happy about that at all. Don’t they know that is my bedtime with a movie, book or surfing the web?!?!?

It is absolutely gorgeous out there, except for all the darn pollen. My eyes are burning. Tomorrow will be just as nice supposed to be 80 both days.

Apparently we didn’t realize there would be playoffs A tie last night which lead to a penalty kick shoot off, a win and now another game tbd. The parents from the opposing team were absolutely obnoxious. Can’t wait for summer so I can sit far away from the crowd. Lol

Supposed to reach 80 today and then snow early Tuesday morning. Gotta love WNY spring weather.

I did not work on the yard any this weekend. Yay! It ended up being very nice and I had a wonderful weekend.

I am so glad that I took supper over to Sharon and Kenny's Saturday night. He did not eat it all but he seemed to enjoy it. He laughed and told some great stories about when he did old Western sharpshooting competitions. He showed me some pictures too which was really cool. He even told me about a man that asked him to blow up a beaver damn with dynamite. He has done some neat things and is a wonderful storyteller.

I almost started crying when I left because he hugged me and said that if he died that night, he would have died happy. Then Sharon walked me to the car and thanked me listening to Kenny's stories because that really made him happy. To be honest, I got a lot more joy out of it than either one of them.

Last time we went out to eat, me and Sharon talked about fried pickles, pickled okra and she told me about these pickled green beans. She bought me a jar of them. They were called Spiced Dilly Beans. They had a kick and I loved them. In fact, I came home and ate a bunch and today I ate some more. The jar is half gone. I am going to have to find out where she got them.

It is a good thing I walked right much this weekend because I ate right much too. Chicken Fetticine Saturday night and a ribeye dinner Sunday night with my aunt and cousin. I am pretty sure I am going to wait until Tuesday to get on the scales.

I love Peonies also. Mine have not bloomed yet. I have a long row of them but of course, the hot pink ones are my favorite. Imagine that. heehee

Awww Rat2. Sounds like a wonderful time with Kenny and Sharon.

Spring break is over for kiddo, back to school this morning. Me no likey the 5:30 alarm. Lol

Wow, that cold front sure packed a punch last night. It came in fast, the wind sure was something. Saw some lightning but never did hear any thunder. I thought we were going to lose the pool cover. Dh had to go out and pull it back in place. In all the time we’ve had it, that’s never happened.

Never heard of pickled green beans Rat2 but I do like pickled okra.

Yeah, that wind was crazy. Sorry you had to deal with it too. When I took kiddo out for the bus, he asked what happened to the garbage cans. The lids were straight up against the garage. Never saw that before either. still windy now and it rained all day. Should reach mid 60s by the end of the week. They come to open the pool Wednesday. Don’t think we’ll be swimming in it anytime soon though Cheaper to open in April than May.

Kiddo had physical therapy tonight. Re-injured his knee is Saturday’s game. He’s ok. It’s no where near as bad as before. Dh grabbed tacos for dinner on the way home. I’m snuggled under my electric blankie ready for bed. It’s cold.

I do like pickled okra.

Oh I do too! I keep saying I am going to try to make some. I was watching YouTube's today on making the refrigerator dilly beans. It looks pretty easy but I have never pickled anything.

He really is. I am still so grateful that they still wanted to be friends after Terry stopped dating me. I do wish they lived closer. It is only around 25 miles but gas is still sort of high around here. I sure am filling up more often than I used to.

It is April for gosh sake. That just does not seem fair to me. I guess you are used to it. I am thankful that I went all winter and did not see the first snowflake. It was fine with me.
