Today I trimmed some 4 foot high Boxwoods down to 12-16 inch little baby ones on the side of the house. I think they will live but I am going to see what they do this summer before I do the same thing to all those across the front of the house. I just know I don't like trimming and shaping them.

It makes me a little sad because Dad loved those bushes. He would spend hours trimming a single bush. But they would be all the same size and perfectly shaped balls. Evidently, I did not inherit that talent.

I wheelbarrowed the bushes down to my aunt's burn pile so I got some good steps in today. I'll help her burn it one day when they dry out some. Well, it is not really helping her because she does not like fires. But she watches me and brings me tea to drink.

Good morning Dale and lurkers

Well you all know how I feel about snow. Lol! Hope it didn’t amount to much, Joey. I haven’t looked outside yet.

That knee will plague him for the rest of his life. Unfortunately. The physical therapist gave him some exercises to do, said he overstretched it and it’s weak but otherwise it’s ok.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Yes that’s what I figured that it would always be a problem for him :(

Hope you have a good day too.

Since the gym's summer hours have changed, I am going to try doing my work at home today before it gets too warm and see how I like doing my walking/exercise in the evenings. Who knows? I might like it.

There is a huge pile of firewood that rotten long ago and dad would not let me burn it so I think I am going to get back out that wheelbarrow and take it to my aunt's burn pile while she has one going.

I sure wish I could get that tractor running and learn how to use it. It would be so nice to have just a small garden. I used to have one where I used to reside, although I mainly just grew the deer and raccoon snacks.

    Good evening lurkers

Awwwww 2 already?? Sheesh, time is a flyin’.

You could always get some containers and do a container garden, Rat2. That’s what we do. I’ll have to see if I can find a picture.

We are sitting at 37 degrees. It hit 40 today but lots of frozen precip most of the day. Nothing that stuck. Thank goodness.

Yay!! You didn’t have to cook :) I made spaghetti with meat sauce and used up the last of the rolls from Easter for garlic bread.

It sure is flying, next thing we know she’ll be wanting her own phone

Those containers look pretty cool :thumb:

Those containers are neat and are a great idea.

I will have to do my exercise at night experiment some other time. I did not make it to the gym today but I did get my 10,000 steps in. The hard way. Pushing a heavy wheelbarrow with rotten logs across a field to my aunt's burn pile. It was a little over 100 steps and I made fifty-eleven trips. Good workout but I used muscles that I have not used at the gym.

Finished trimming the Boxwoods and did the rest of the stuff around the back of the house. Several Sweet Bubby bushes and a big something I did not know what it was. It's short now. That's what it is.

If I can just get the yard mowed Thursday or Friday, I will be done for right now. I'm tired of doing yard work.

Had to pick up a prescription at Sam's and my aunt asked me to get her some honeybuns so I just asked her to go with me to get her out of the house. Had a good time. She had never eaten a hotdog at Sam's so that is what I bought her for supper.

I have not had one in a very long time. They no longer offer onions. The mustard bin was empty so I went up to the counter and she said that they were out of mustard. After I got finished eating my hot dog, they came out and dumped mustard packs in the bin. I hate being lied to. GRRRR

They have a Brownie Sundae now. But of course, they were out of brownies so I just got us some chocolate frozen yogurt. It was pretty t tasty. I did not eat very healthily today but that's okay, my aunt enjoyed her outing.

Well, that was my busy day. I think I am going to be going to bed early tonight. I am already sitting here yawning. Could be rocking though. heehee

    Sleep well all.

They were supposed to call and let me know when the Pella Window man was going to be here today but I have not heard anything. Guess I will be waiting around for them. There is a cloudy window in the laundry room that needs to be replaced. I tried to get Dad to let me call them but of course, he would not.

I feel good today but I can definitely tell I used muscles pushing that wheelbarrow full of firewood, that I have not used at the gym.

It also helped me to stay in bed for 6 hours and slept better than usual.

It is another gorgeous day here. I should be out there washing some windows on the back porch. I could do that while I'm waiting on the repairman.

I am not sure what has gotten into me. I see so many things I want to change, move or do. I wouldn't mind it if I was planning on staying here forever but I am just not sure yet. Oh well, at least it keeps me busy and I am grateful that I can get stuff done. It also keeps me from getting into trouble. heehee

    Enjoy your day everyone.
