I need to get new fishing gear, I have not fished in a long time. I’m thinking of getting a small boat. I used to go fishing on the charter boats from Brooklyn that went to Long Island or New Jersey.

I don't go often, but it's such a great stress reliever.
I'm struggling to learn how to use an open face reel, so it's a little frustrating sometimes.
I have a heavy duty Zebco that DH bought for me before we moved here, but we didn't rinse it and now it's locked up. (DH is going to look at it and see if he can get it freed up).
The lake I was thinking about is Lake Shelbyville. I looked and it looks like it's a couple hours S of you.
I was reading about it, and looks like they have cabins you can rent too.

We have friends here who are originally from LI.

Good morning everyone. I have been up a couple of times tonight. One of those nights. I was tired because Paula and I went shopping. Boy, it takes it out of you.

She took me to a new place called PopShelf. It was a neat little place. I was googling it and found out there is one close to me and I did not even know it. Sheesh! Been so long since I have gotten out that I could go sightseeing just where I live. View attachment 997745

No it is not enjoyable. The only reason I am posting while I am away from home is because I packed my laptop. I used to post on Tap-a-talk or something like that but I can't find ecf on there anymore. I tried on just the phone browser and it did all kinds of crazy things to me. Talk about frustrating. I wish there was an app like Twitter on my phone. That would be easier. View attachment 997746

Well, the little Rambling Rat has returned once again. I decided to come back last night since my joints told me all day yesterday that the rain was near. I no sooner got my bags in the door until it started pouring.

I think it might be a good idea to wait a couple of days before I get on the scales. Oh, but it was worth it. I had a wonderful time.

I fell in love with Thelma and Louise (her little goats). The littlest one is Louise but they started calling her LouLou. I called her LittleLouLou and I imagine she looks the same way at everyone but I felt like she was smiling at me. They are supposed to be fainting goats but I didn't see them do it and I was not about to scare them. Almost made me want a goat. I said "almost".



I made a better time going down there because I could move with the traffic. Coming back in the dark I was alone most of the time and I was afraid to go much over the speed limit and I definitely do not want a ticket. I still like driving at night even though you do not get to see much. A lot cooler and I get to singing and the miles just fly by. I like this going places.

The driving pillows I bought might have helped a little bit. Not sure why my .... cheek and the back of my thigh pull. It feels like there is a rubberband back there being stretched to the max. Nothing that is going to stop me though. I'm ready to go again.

Went to bed at 10 last night and it was 2 a.m. before I fell asleep , don’t know why I didn’t just get back up. That was after taking a whole sleeping pill. I really dislike nights like that, I was so tired.
