LOL! Thank goodness it was just a quick trip to the loo if you know what I mean ;) But I haven't let him forget after all these years.

Mid 70s here, with sun and clouds. Perfect day, unless you had your heart set on swimming and that hasn't happened much this summer. :glare:

Did some cleaning but otherwise quiet day today.

Hope everyone is having the same :)

Nothing much going on here, just the normal. Be thankful you don’t have our summers though Sara. Even if we had a pool the water would be unpleasantly warm and the breeze outside is hot.

No, definitely don't want that weather, Dale. I'm sorry you guys get such hot weather. A meteorologist that I follow posted we've only had 7 days above 80 for the month of August. That is the least we've had since 2000.

Sausage with peppers and onions for dinner and a baked potato casserole as the side.

I hope you all enjoyed your day.

guess you’ll be engaged before we know it ;)
    Shocked.gif Don't even think that.

Yeeesh, she better not get engaged
I agree. I have no plans for it. I do want a relationship but I do not ever want to go through another divorce.

    It was awful.

‘Isn’t that what meeting the family is all about? Being vetted and all ;)
Are you kidding? I didn't know that. I just figure he has been down here and he misses home. His dad is 89. I am meeting the whole crew though. His dad lives with his daughter and granddaughter. He has had the speaker on while he talks to them and each one seems very nice and a very loving family. That is something I cannot relate to.

I am actually looking forward to meeting them. I am not really worried about if the like me. I think they will but if not, I'm not dating them.

Ken had to work 10 hours today and tomorrow. He had told the man he is renting from that he would pick up the sticks in the yard that came from a really bad storm last week. I went over there and spent all afternoon cleaning up the yard and weeding. I also took supper over there. Just a Stoffer's lasagna I had in the freezer that needed to be used. I also made a really good salad, cheesy bread and I made him a strawberry shortcake.

He took a shower while I got everything ready. We sat down at the table and he took hold of my hand and said the blessing. I told him that was sweet and I had never had anyone do that with me. He told me I was the first one he had done that with because he felt so comfortable around me. I actually liked it. He has always bowed and said something to himself before we ate but I liked being a part of it. That went on my list of "pros" that I have on him.

I think he really liked supper because he thanked me fifty-eleven times. That is the best part. Someone who appreciates me fixing for them. Dad never once said what I fixed was good or thanked me for anything. And I married a man just like him so this is really special to me.

I do like him but I did Jimmy, and Dan. Terry was 16 years older than me and I never had a relationship with him. Now if Ken changes or starts cussing at me. . . he will be gone too. I may not know exactly what I want but I darn sure know what I don't.

We will see. I am having fun now and I like the way he treats me. We can talk about anything and he loves music. We have not watched tv one time so far. He makes my heart happy and that is all that matters. I like his mustache a lot too.

Today, I went down to my aunt's to burn the big brush pile that was mostly my stuff. You probably shouldn't do it on a day when it is 92 because I was hot as hades.

After I got it burned down she said something about a big camellia bush that she needed to trim back so what did I do? Yep. Cut that for her and dragged the brush to the hot coals. But she appreciated it so much and I was glad to help her. I pretty much help everyone if I can.

Then I went to WallyWorld to pick up a few things and to Sam's to pick up a prescription. I was so happy to be going home and cooling off. I got me a Slushie and as soon as I walked in the door, it was hot as hades in the house. Yep. A/C broken. I texted the man that put the heat pump in but I told him to contact me next week. It costs more if they have to come out on a weekend. Ken told me to come over there but it has cooled off some now and I will be fine. It is down to 84 now and thank goodness I have a fan to use in the bedroom tonight. Looking on the bright side, my electric bill will be lower. heehee

I have several places to go if it gets unbearable. I bought a box of 80 Icy Pops today at Walmart. That cools me down. heehee I will be staying with Ken Thursday night because we are leaving Friday morning and will come back Monday. Since we are going to family, there will be no motorcycle riding and my backend is happy about that. It is still recuperating from that charity ride last Saturday.

Well, I hope everyone sleeps well and has a wonderful Sunday. Looking forward to breakfast.

    Good morning Dale

Absolutely a terrible time with the heat you guys get in the south and midwest.

Thank you for breakfast and quotes. We had burritos with egg and veggies. I also refried some of last nights potatoes which were more like home fries. These ones turned out better than the last time.

Got a pot of sauce simmering to use on our eggplant parm for dinner. Tomatoes, onions and eggplant courtesy of our gardens. We aren’t getting much but we sure are using what we’ve been blessed with.

Hope you are having a lovely day!
