Yesterday when I got quotes on reprograming the remote, the Honda dealership was the least expensive. I explained the situation to him and he said that was all I would need.

So here we go today. It ended up being more because Ken said I needed a spare key. It turned into $268. Now. Do you want to know the kicker? The remote will still open the door but will not let them crank it up. So they can still get into it and take whatever I leave in there (which will be nothing of value) but they will not drive it away. I think that will just tic the perp off and they will do damage to the car. To change the locks, the quote was $1,300. Grrrr View attachment 1003104

So instead. . . I added comprehensive and I am looking for an outside security camera that records. What do y'all think? Is it the right thing to do?View attachment 1003105
Well that stinks Rat2! Depending on how old that vehicle is you might even consider trading it in for something different altogether.

It is a 2006 but it only has 93,000 miles. Low for a Honda. I did look at new ones today while I was waiting and I am getting better gas mileage with my old one. Even the hybrid. Go figure. I may look at other makes and see what is out there. I should get my tummy tuck first!

Not a single kid came to my door. We have never had the first one but that's okay with me. I always have candy just in case and I always get what I like.

The meatloaf, steamed cabbage, scalloped potatoes, peaches, and bread were a success. I am not a fancy cook but Ken seemed to like it. We even split a meatloaf sandwich after we watched three scary movies. The Exocist (1973), Saw II an III. I have never really watched horror movies because it is just not my thing. They were bloody but not really what I would call scary. The only time I jumped was when Ken boo'd at me and then I jumped and went to the restroom.

It is 39 degrees right now and is only supposed to get up to 49 today. That's pretty darn chilly. But that is when I get warmer for some reason. I have always said my thermostat did not work right. I would go with Ken to the front porch so he could smoke and I just had my gown on. Ken, on the other hand, was wearing a sweatshirt and wrapped himself in my flamingo blanket. He did look sort of cute.

    Good morning Rat2

Wow, that is crazy, Rat2 about changing the locks. Shocks me every time I type b u t t and it is replaced with … I’m always like hey now, I didn’t cuss

Ended up being a good night for tot’ers but every year I am amazed at how few there are than when I was a kid. Mom’s neighborhood still gets a lot. But not nearly as many. We had pizza and candy

Hope everyone has a good day!

    Good evening

Hope you got some of your faves, Dale :)

Cold here too, all day. Supposed to warm up into the 50s soon, I forget when. Lol.
    Good evening Sara
‘Of course DH picked stuff I wanted ;)

    37 was our high.
I don’t know what our high was today but taking Paco out required a light jacket for comfort.

    Good evening :)

Ouch, not liking those temps, ladies  If I remember correctly we started out at 30 and it’s currently 44 so the temporary warm up has started.

We had pizza’s for dinner. Boys had theirs on a flatbread crust and I used one of my flour tortillas. Not my favorite but it’s food and less calories than the flatbread.

Indoor soccer training has begun, so they left to go there and I’m about to watch my first Christmas movie of the season ;) Hope you all had a lovely day! Sweet dreams

We had the same thing for supper. I asked Ken what he felt like and he asked if I had frozen some of the last spaghetti I made and of course I did. It was good on a cold night. I think he likes my cooking. Darn it! heehee

Good morning. Looks like I would have slept better last night since Ken's speeding ticket court date was yesterday and I am not worried about it anymore but I did not.

When they called Ken up, the guy chuckled and said he was representing Hulk Hogan. He gets that all the time because of his mustache. Anyway, they were very nice to him. He had a ticket for 86 in a 70 but they knocked it down to 75 in 70 and gave him a $10 fine. He had told me not to worry but I did anyway like I do everything.

I am so excited. I called Sharon (the couple I have been going out to eat with since I dated her brother) and they will meet us at Bonbon's (my fav restaurant). I have not seen them in a while. We went down there one time and Sharon met Ken (she texted me and said he sure was nice) but her husband was not there. So tonight he will meet Ken. I get them confused sometimes because his name is Kenny and he also has a white mustache.

I guess I am more paranoid than I expected to be about my car getting stolen. I am looking at security cameras now. I hate that I am thinking that way but I guess you have to these days. grrrr

Not much planned for today. Since it is getting cold, I am thinking of getting some deer corn to feed them. I don't think you are supposed to but I watch them every night. Last night there were 5 of them. We used to have 11 out there but I guess all the construction around here is chasing them off. Isn't that sad?

    Good morning lurkers

Hopefully it doesn’t get too hot for you, Dale. I can’t remember. Mmm spaghetti.

I’m tired today. Hope it goes by fast. Hope everyone has a great day!!
    Good morning Sara
‘Back up to 80 by this coming Wednesday.

‘’Sounds like you need to get serious about that iron deficiency. :(

Glad the court appointment went as well as it did.

I’m not surprised that you are affected by the stolen vehicle situation, I have anxiety while driving since that accident I had.

We get deer regularly here eating in the yard, they bring their babies every Spring.

Happy Friday ladies, just another day to me. ;)

    Good evening lurkers

You can tell you aren’t from NY. Man oh man, a fine of only $10? NY would take everything out of your wallet and then make you run to the ATM for more :lol::lol: Fortunately, my last speeding ticket was 2001. *knock on wood* Hope your dinner with the two Ken’s and Sharon is lots of fun, Rat2. Give your mind a break about the car :( I would be anxious too.

Ooh 80, that sounds perfect…..kidding, Dale. I know that’s not perfect for y’all. Hopefully it cools down for you again. I’ve added a few different things to my diet. I track the foods I eat on MyFitnessPal and it appears I’m getting about half of the recommended daily value. Definitely better than what it was before. I just learned that if you eat a bowl of Frosted Mini Wheats, apparently that will give you all the iron you need. So I’ve added that to the shopping list. ;) Those will taste much better than the Blackstrap Molasses.

I’m off to get to bed early. Lots to do this weekend. Sweet dreams
