    Good morning lurkers

That sounds like awesome weather for TOT’ers :) We don’t get any here, so we go to my mom’s and eat….I mean pass out her candy

Hope everyone has a fantastic day!
    Good morning Sara

We don’t get trick or treaters here either.

    Good evening lurkers

Makes sense since we don’t live in sub divisions, eh? Not as many kids as there used to be. Times have definitely changed. Now it’s sponsored Trunk or Treats everywhere….schools, businesses etc Here anyway.

Took advantage of the last summer like day and grilled cheeseburgs. But silly me turned the oven on for tator tots as though it were fall

So glad it’s the weekend. Tomorrow we are heading out to a poultry farm to pick up some chicken for the freezer. The place we get our beef from sells vacuum sealed chicken breasts, thighs etc. I assumed it was locally sourced. But a month ago, Dh went to get some and they sold him a bag of frozen breasts that hadn’t been broken up into 1lb bags and thus our search began for local.

Won’t be long til I’m watching Hallmark Christmas movies so off I go to finish up the Halloween classics. How is the holiday season almost here? Hope you all had a great day!

    Good evening Sara
We’re kind of out of the way here and it’s very dark even with porch lights on plus our house is up high on a hill away from the road. I love it here but trick or treaters not so much

Good luck with your chicken hunt, I had part of a rotisserie chicken and some chips tonight.

Enjoy your movie and good night.

    Good morning lurkers

Yeah, the houses here are spaced quite a bit apart and no sidewalks. I love it too though I do miss our friendly neighbors. Everyone pretty much keeps to themselves. Not so good in case of an emergency.

Hope everyone has a great day!
    Good morning Sara.
‘Yeah it’s the same here everyone minding their own business.

    Good afternoon, Dale

Well, the poultry farm was underwhelming. On the way there, dh informed me he never called to place an order. Think he thought it would be more like the abbatoir. They did have some items in a case but no boneless breasts. We came home with 2 good sized turkey pot pies which they had for lunch and said they were delicious and two packages of split chicken breast for $25. Good deal? Maybe for around here. The 10lb bag of chicken is about that. Lesson learned. We will definitely call to place an order next time. Got our pumpkins to carve this afternoon also.

Sounds like your trip to the chicken place wasn’t very satisfying, I’m sorry. :(

I spent a good portion of the day visiting with my friend, it was very enjoyable.

Just finished a salad, I’ve really enjoyed not having to cook meals.

    Good evening lurkers

Glad you had a good time with your friend :)

Ehh, it’s all good. Now we know what to expect for future visits. We started carving our pumpkins and decided to order out for dinner. Dh was coming back with it and hit a deer. He’s ok, the deer took off so hopefully it is ok and from what I could tell no major damage to the car?!? But it was dark. Will have to look again tomorrow.

Salvaged dinner (burgers/fries) and finished our pumpkins.

Not sure why it’s showing up blurry but here is our annual carving.
