I must say my supper was another hit. I would fix the kielbasa and kraut again although if it had not been for Ken, I would have bought the turkey kielbasa. I think it is good and much lower in fats. I added Southern-style pintos from Glory, cranberry sauce, and yeast rolls. No wonder I've gained. Sheesh! I have been avoiding the scales for a good reason.

Gosh, this has been another quick week. Thursday they have an open mic nite at a bar we go to. I have seen karaoke but never open mic so I would like to see it. It depends on the weather and how I am feeling. I am still recovering from all that rain yesterday. There is a man there that we always talk to that sings everytime I have seen him and he has a beautiful voice. His name is Jerry so last week, they were calling him Jerry Roll. (you know, a play on Jelly Roll)

I hope you all sleep well and have a great Friday eve.

Good evening lurkers

Woot!! It's Fri-Yay eve!! Sooo looking forward to 3 days off (after work tomorrow) and not being in bed. Raviolis, corn and garlic knots for dinner.

Another day of snow, rain, freezing rain. But Lake Effect snow is on the way for the weekend and looks like we'll be in the teens/20s all next week. Winter might have finally arrived in Buffalo.

Hope everyone had a great day, I'm gonna watch a movie and then head to bed early again.

‘We had lamb roast, green beans and corn.

It clouded back up today and is trying to rain, we have an extremely cold weekend coming too.

Hope you have a good evening and night.

In preparation for the rain tomorrow, I got busy today. Changed sheets, did laundry, made tea, vacuumed after I got all the hair removed from the beater bar, dusted some, took the garbage down the street, took a walk with my aunt, fixed a big o'l salad, got my hair washed and legs shaved, and cut my toenails. Tomorrow, zilch is on the agenda.

    All day long!

I said something about going to hear the open mic tonight but Ken said he did not care about going. Funny how I always go along with what he wants to do. I rarely ask to go to someplace. If I had not been so tired from the day's activities, I would have gotten dressed and gone by myself. I know enough of the people there that I do not think I would feel out of place. Sheesh! Is the honeymoon over?

    I'm not sure.

Happy Fri-YAY! I'm doing a Sara happy dance.

It was 57 degrees and the sun was shining through. So warm sitting on the front porch. We decided to take a ride. As soon as my behind hit that seat and we started going down the road, the clouds came moving in and it got dark.
    1laugh.gif

We were headed to Sam's to check on the price of my contacts but we stopped at a bar. Kept getting darker so I suggested we come home. Ken said it was not going to rain for a couple of hours. A couple of minutes after he showed me how the clouds were moving, the sprinkle started. He decided to bring me home. Good choice.

We did not have far to go and I just got a tiny bit wet. I am getting tired of this rain. Sheesh! Ken asked me to go to the Moose Lodge and I said since it was raining I'd rather stay at home. After the the third time he said something about it, I went and changed clothes. Funny how we always end up doing what he wants to do. Huh?

I don't really care. We have not been out there in a good while.

Hope everyone has a nice evening.

Yeah I don’t like relationships like that , I’ve got a friend the same way.

    Good evening ladies

I agree about waking up tired most of the time, the rain and friendships/relationships.

Wind has picked up (I heard it coming and it sounded like a freight train, then the whole house shook) and the rain is pelting the house. It will change over to snow and we are under a winter storm warning til Monday. I've seen everything from 2 to 24 inches. Think I've said it before but I'd really like that job.....be wrong all the time with no repercussions

Now he owes you an open mic night, Rat2 and remind him of hitting the moose lodge when you wanted to be tucked in at home. :p

Chicken stir fry for dinner. Working on getting laundry done in case we happen to lose power this weekend. Also need to get my meal plan and shopping list figured out. We are going to Aldi's as soon as it opens in the morning.

Hope everyone had a great day!

I must say it was nice to see my new friends at the Moose Lodge. It is nice to have people say they sure have missed me.

They had ribs, baked potato, and green beans for the special tonight. I am loyal to the ribs at my fav restaurant so I ordered their salad bar. Boy am I glad I did. Not because it was $14 but because Ken had a hard time eating them. They were tough and hard to cut even. He ended up getting frustrated and picking it up and gnawing on it.

I couldn't help but laugh at him. Thank goodness he does not eat like that all the time. BTW, my salad was really good. They have an awesome salad bar.

When we were coming home, he asked if I wanted to go listen to a band at the same place they had open mic last night. I gnawed my tongue not to say something but I firmly told him I went to the Moose Lodge because he wanted to so bad but I preferred to go home and put on my jammies. And that is what I did.

    heehee

I did not get my steps in today like I did yesterday but I have eaten correctly for 2 days now. I might even get on the scales in the morning. Last time I did, I was shocked. Sure is easier (and more fun) to put it on than it is to take it off.

    Good morning lurkers
28 degrees and a couple of hours before sun rises so we’ll probably reach the expected low of 25…. Burrr!
Good morning, dale. That's normal NH weather for January but not for you. Keep warm.

Good morning Dale and Fran

Ooof, Dale! Hope you don’t have to go anywhere. We are at 35 with flood, winter storm and high wind warnings. Mother Nature can’t make up her mind.

Glad you enjoyed your salad, Rat2 and stood your ground. :thumb:

Leaving for Aldi’s in a few. Have a great day!
