You get the trophy for coldest temp, Fran

We made it to and from the game, drive wasn't too bad. It was our lucky day because they weren't charging to park in the ramp so that was awesome!! There is a covered walkway from ramp to arena. Normally parking is at least $20. And they won 3-0. Let's hope the Bills follow suit, so far the score is 14-0, Bills.

I know, he will be just fine. I'm just a worrywart. lol

Hope you ladies are staying warm, I came home and climbed under my electric blanket.

    Good evening Sara
I don’t blame you for snuggling under the electric blanket. We don’t even own one but if we had your winters we might would.

Well, you all have much colder weather than me and I am okay with it!

Ken wanted to go watch the Steelers game at a bar and I told him to go ahead by himself. I went to Sam's and ordered my contacts and picked up a few things.

Ken said he would be home around 7 and I had supper fixed. Chicken, rice, green beans, salad, and deviled eggs. He did not make it. I had to take him some jumper cables because his motorcycle (not mine) would not start and no one there had cables. I only allow him to drive mine when I am with him.

Oh well, he got home and I heated up his supper. It was pretty good, if I say so myself. So that was my day. I need to go shopping tomorrow. Ken's birthday is Wednesday and I have no idea what to get him. I may just make him an apple pie since he said that was his favorite. Of course, there sure are a lot of good frozen pies that would be easier.

Hope you all stay warm and have a great day.

    Good morning lurkers

Oh man, Joey. I hope we don’t see those temps. I would have stayed home too. Lol

Kiddo survived ;) The only thing that got cold were his toes. They were a little pink when we got all his layers off but he had so much fun and the Bills win made it even better. Dale, this blanket was the best purchase I ever made. Even if just to warm the sheets.

Rat2, sorry his battery died! Happy early Birthday to Ken!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning Rat2 and Sara

Sounds like you could get Ken a new battery for his bike for his birthday Rat2 ;) Of course I have no idea how expensive that would be.

Sara did he not have toe warmers in his shoes? Maybe next time get him some. I’ve used them for work and they’re really helpful.

    Good evening lurkers

No, he did not. Apparently his heated insoles weren't working even though they were charged. Also, silly goose put the cotton socks on first. :( He had wool socks, his dry fit soccer socks, plastic bags (haha apparently we did this when we were kids and spending the day outside in the snow) another pair of thick socks and then no show socks for the feet, inside his hunting boots. We definitely will be looking for heated something or others before hunting season comes around again. He tried to stick hand warmers, but with all the layers, the snow and trying to get the boots off, he had a hard time. Heck I had a hard time trying to pull them off when he got home  He's no worse for wear.

Thank goodness today is over. I'm whooped. I did open faced meatball sandwiches on garlic texas toast for dinner. It was a hit and even I enjoyed it. We'll be sure to have those again. Salads for the veggie.

Hope everyone had a good day!

I am joining you in burrr weather. Supposed to be 15 in the morning. That is cold around here.

I did not make it out today to birthday shop. Had a very lazy day. Ate up all the leftovers in the fridge. I hate tossing anything so I was happy about that.

    Stay warm folks!

Good morning, lurkers. Here in the Northeast we have 24 and that's the high for the day. Weather says 11 overnight.
    Hey Fran
I know we hit 37 today , didn’t quite make the forecasted 46. Won’t be any significant warming until next week.

    Good evening, Dale

yeeesh, definitely another 6 inches, could be worse but I'm done with it. Commute in was fine, commute home was miserable. Temp is 16. So far I'd say we have about 18 inches out there with drifts much, much deeper than that. Darn lakes need to freeze over so we can stop with the lake effect snow. Last I heard, Lake Erie was at 41.

Tonight was a freezer meal night. We had previously made and frozen blueberry waffles for dinner with halos and two pretty ripe bananas  Ohhh and bacon. can't forget the bacon.

Hope everyone had a great day! Almost Friday!
