    Good evening lurkers

lol! Guess I should rephrase that. It was a good day because I was unproductive. Think I hit 2000 steps for the whole day. I washed sheets/blanket on Sunday and I agree, that first night in bed when there are no wrinkles/bunches in the sheets is awesome!

Today was a long day but ended up awesome. Dh is home. I was so tempted to call in but I did not.

It was an eat what you can find kinda night. The boys had leftovers of chinese and mac and cheese. Neither appealed to me, so I had a bowl of cereal.

Hope you all had a good day!
    Hi Sara
I’m glad you had a good day and got your husband back. Hopefully it will be a while before he has to go again.
We had the same kind of supper, lots of leftovers to choose from.

Hope everyone has a great night and thinking about you @JoeyC returning to work tonight.

Thank goodness we are halfway through the week lol Pizza for dinner because it's been a day ;)

Hope it was good for everyone!
    Good evening Sara
‘We had Swiss steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Been years since I made that, DH was happy.

    My day was tolerable ;)

    Good morning

What is Swiss steak? Don’t think I’ve heard of it.

    Have a great day!!
    Good morning Sara

It’s cube steak breaded and fried then slow cooked with stewed tomatoes. I also made gravy so it was a bit of a combination

    Found On Roadside Dead

A jabbing joke at my dad, that he ate it. And liked it! LOL

Cube Steak equals a texture of pureed cardboard and stringy leather....boiled, then fried.
Lols, sadly I have to agree with you  You might have noticed that I said it made DH happy, not necessarily me ;)

I should have stated from the beginning of my response, I was (sort of) teasing. Being as you spoke of the meal the way you did, it immediately gave me flashbacks of my dad, sister, mom and me at the dinner table. My mom fixing it for dad, dad was in heaven whenever she did. My mom, sister and I, not so much. I could picture my dad sitting at his place. Heinz Ketchup and A1 Steak Sauce bottles positioned right next to his plate. And he SMOTHERED them steaks.

    Good memories.
    Thanks for that, @daleron :)

Good evening Dale and Real

That sounds like an awesome memory, Real. Makes me smile.

Think my mom may have made cube steak when I was a kid, but I don't remember it. So I probably was also in the "gross" club

Dale, glad you got to spend time with your dad (((hugs)))

We had waffles, bacon and fruit for dinner. Steakums are tomorrow night. Another meal from my childhood. My mom made them flat, put a slice of mozzarella on one half, folded it and slapped it between 2 pieces of white bread. As a kid, I added ketchup to that. These days, I put them on a mini hoagie roll and add mushrooms/onions to it :thumb:

Hi Sara  Waffles and bacon sounds good, I haven’t eaten as I’m not feeling well tonight. There’s still leftovers if I get hungry tho’.

Steakums is something I don’t care for but DH likes them. Although enough mozzarella might make it tolerable

    Good morning :)

Lol!! Understandable. Sometimes we buy the thin shaved beef and sometimes steakums. Just depends on the sale. I’m sorry you weren’t feeling well. Hopefully you feel better today.

Hope everyone has a great day!
    Good morning Sara
‘Yes I’m feeling much better this morning .
