I had taken the time to make us little projectors and they turned out pretty good. But. . . Ken had a better idea. Dad used to weld and he had several pieces of the glass that went in his mask. I remember him putting that on me so I could watch him weld. He used to make trailers for a motorcycle dealership here that sold golf carts. Mom always sent me off with him. I imagine it was to get some peace and quiet.

Well, anyway, it was rather disappointing here. It never got dark but we were not where the viewing was supposed to be good. Oh well, maybe I'll see the next one. Or I may not even care at 84.

I just wanted a salad with grilled chicken over it tonight for supper. Ken said that would be fine with him. I do love my salads. It is rather time-consuming to cut up all the stuff I put on it but it makes it so good (and crunchy).

He said his shoulder was better today but I've heard that before. I hope it is. I need to take my aunt's car to get it inspected and then today she said her mower would not start and her grass is really high. There is a chance of rain in the morning, I think, but I guess when it dries off, I will try to mow for her. It is not a huge yard but big enough and bumpy as all get out. I have to go slower there because I'm afraid I'll loosen my crown that I just paid so much for.

I did not go to the gym again today but I got a little over 10M steps in walking up and down our dead-end road. I started a new book and it was nice weather so I just kept gettin' it. Ken went to bed early again so I think I'll go read for a bit.

Hope everyone has a nice night and Tuesday.

Good evening, Dale

We are supposed to get some rain tonight and it's going to continue for the next few days. Temps today reached 79

Kiddo and I had buttered linguine with parmesan cheese and I was too beat to figure out a veggie. lol

Hope you had a good day and that the storms stay away.

We only got to 61 today and it misty rained all morning. With it being so damp, I figured spaghetti would be good for supper and I was right!

I got my steps in again reading up and down the road. I don't mind walking here if it is nice. Ken still says his shoulder is better so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm going to read and try to sleep. Nite everyone.

I'm tempted to, Dale  But she loves her comfy donut bed so much and that won't fit in the crate.

Breakfast for dinner and I have to get ready to take kiddo to soccer. Hope everyone has a great night,
Good evening Sara  We had DQ, I still have a Blizzard to consume.

    Get a bigger crate?

    Thinking about omelettes for tomorrow.

It was another rainy morning but I still took my aunt to get her car inspected, then to the DMV to get the sticker and I even put it on for her. It was the first time I had ever driven her Subaru and it was a nice ride.

She also went to Aldi's with me because I needed to pick a few things up. Spent longer in there than I ever have because she was asking prices. She has a hard time seeing. I did not mind though. She had fun. It was funny when we got back to her house I was getting ready to leave and she said I know you don't like it but I just have to hug you. It is not that I do not like it, it's just that I am not used to it. I have gotten a lot better with it though.

Ken ate leftover spaghetti and I was good and ate a big salad. He still has enough left over for lunch tomorrow. I don't want to make him eat it 3 nights in a row.

We are supposed to have thunderstorms tomorrow and I even got an alert from my electric company regarding the chances of outages. We are supposed to have strong winds. I don't doubt it. My joints have been hurting all day. I still got in 8500 steps but it took me a bit longer. Finished my book and picked out a new one. I can't stand not to have one started.

    Good morning lurkers

She’s lucky I didn’t stuff her in it last night  Woke me up at 3:30. When she realized it was raining, she tinkled and flew back into the house. Grrr! Lucky for her I love her to pieces. Debated on staying up or going back to sleep. Sleep won and now I feel like garbage.

Yum!! DQ. We have a gc for there. That’s what kiddo had, omelette. I made myself french toast.

Awwww Rat2. Sounds like you had a nice time with your Aunt, despite the dmv visit. I’d eat spaghetti every day if I could.

    Have a great day!!

I didn’t know you were non touchy feely.
That is what happens when you are never hugged as a child, you are traumatized by your grandfather and you grow up to marry a man that is not affectionate. It is not that I don't like it, it just feels weird that someone would want to hug me.

I do think I am quite huggable!

Not hubbable at the moment though.

I jinxed myself saying Ken's shoulder was better. He had an awful night and therefore, I did too. The rain today is not helping one bit but this too shall pass. He is sleeping right now and that is what I should be doing but I am going to make myself stay busy so maybe I will sleep tonight. That's the plan!

Hope everyone is having a good day!

Good evening Rat2  I think the lack of affection growing up had the opposite affect on me or maybe the church helped me.

Sorry you and Ken are not feeling your best, hope you both feel better soon.

We just finished supper, ham and cheese omelette with toast.

Oh wow! I'm sorry to hear that about your childhoods. :( I don't like hugs either unless they are from someone I'm super close with.

Hope you and Ken are feeling better soon. It rained all day here too, so I totally sympathize. Fortunately, I was the greeter and got most of my steps at work. I did jump on the treadmill for about 10 min but I'm exhausted. Dh is home safe and sound, he picked up a pizza for dinner.

I think I'll be hitting the pillow early tonight. Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday :)

oh shoot, Dale. I knew I was forgetting something. Her crate is one of those black wire ones with the plastic tray on the bottom. It's pretty bigWe have a mat in there for her to lay on which she was fine with.....until Santa brought her the pink fluffy donut bed two years ago.

    1712878588031.png

hopefully you can see that. It would definitely take up most of the crate and be hard for her to get in and out of and that's if it were still that size  She has it stretched out and looking more like a deflated donut.
