Awww!!! Love the story and the picture!! I'd have a cat if I could

Sure was nice of that fella to take care of 'em
We're still pretty darn warm ... still 77 here this evening.
It was nice of him! He's a nice guy though.

They have a dog who isn't long for this earth.
She's 17 years old, part Border Collie, and has already had one large cancerous tumor removed.
The vet said he thought he got all of it, but there were no guarantees.
He said she's only eating about every 2nd or 3rd day, and that she'll eat her whole bowl, and keeps it down, but then won't eat again for a day or two.
I saw her today when I was there. She's sooooo skinny.
But she's friendly, and gets around fine.
He said she doesn't show any signs of being in pain at all.
The only thing that's different is her appetite.
She belongs to his dad, and he knows that he will be lost when she goes, although he knows it's coming.
His dad has suggested getting another pet to help keep him busy when she goes, so I guess two is better than one.
He called later this afternoon to check on the kitties and his dad said they'd already found places to hide from the dog, and the little one had already managed to get up on his recliner.
We had stopped at Dollar General and the guy I work with got a litter box, litter, two different kinds of food, and three different toys.

When we dropped the kitties off, he set the litter box up first thing, and as soon as he put it down, the little grey one went over hopped up in it, dug a whole and pooped.

Of course it had the runs.

Later we heard a different guy at work had given them Chicken McNuggets...
He didn't know that one of the salesmen that lives nearby had run home and got some of their cat food and had fed them.
So yeah, they got dumped at a good place.
I was nervous though, I was hoping we'd find homes quickly...I really didn't want two kitties.

Someday I'd like to have a kitty, just not right now.
