Good evening lurkers ;) guess where I am? I'm home, that's right. I do not have to work late and won't miss any soccer. Yay!!

How's everyone this evening? Hopefully feeling better, safely at their destinations, bellies full but not too full, all rested up. :)
Yay for an early Thursday Sara! And tomorrow is your Friday! ;)

Feeling okay at the moment, belly is almost too full but not quite ... safely in my own home  As safe as anyone can be at any rate :?:

Guess I better get around and get ready to close up. See you all later.
    See you later Bobbi :)

    dessert time? :?:

Yes, Friday and payday! Whoohoo. Soo glad you are feeling ok even if it's just for the moment but I hope you stay feeling good.

Thanks for the dessert. We stopped at Timmy Ho's and I got a salted caramel hot chocolate. It's cold and wet outside. Thankfully this session of soccer is indoors. :thumb:

Well the weather said 40 today and rain. We only got to 36 which dropped quickly to 33 so I really don't believe the weather but it's supposed to warm up some overnight.
Does seem a little backwards huh? :?: I've known it to happen though :)

    Oh yum!!

    Evening Fran.
    Ick, hated liking that. :(

Was cool here today, not cold like what Sara and Fran have though. :) So, I won't complain!
We warm back up tomorrow and for the next 5 or 6 days out...at least that's what it said this a.m., it has a way of constantly changing though.

I was busy today, and just had a short day at work.
Someone dumped a kitten, and a kitty, that I'm guessing is somewhere between 6 to 8 months old.
A guy at work adopted both of them, they were clearly buddies, and he hated to separate them.
He generally rides a bike to work, so since they'd put them in a big box so they didn't wander up to the (busy) road, I helped him get them home. We just clocked out mid-day and ran them to his house.
He lives with his elderly father, who is disabled and in a wheel chair, so they were going to have lots of love and attention, and we didn't want them in the box longer than they had to be. :)
I'll try to get the pic from my phone uploaded...
    BRB. ;)

    Evening,Lori:wub: Lucky kitties.
    Yes, they are!! :)

The black one has some white on it's face. I don't know if they're boy or girl kitties though.
Both are very cuddly, and DH said that the black one wouldn't go far from the little grey one.
I don't remember what type the little grey one is called. :(
I'll have to see if DH has any better pics. :)

It was nice of him! He's a nice guy though. :)
They have a dog who isn't long for this earth.
She's 17 years old, part Border Collie, and has already had one large cancerous tumor removed.
The vet said he thought he got all of it, but there were no guarantees.
He said she's only eating about every 2nd or 3rd day, and that she'll eat her whole bowl, and keeps it down, but then won't eat again for a day or two.
I saw her today when I was there. She's sooooo skinny.
But she's friendly, and gets around fine.
He said she doesn't show any signs of being in pain at all.
The only thing that's different is her appetite.
She belongs to his dad, and he knows that he will be lost when she goes, although he knows it's coming.
His dad has suggested getting another pet to help keep him busy when she goes, so I guess two is better than one.

He called later this afternoon to check on the kitties and his dad said they'd already found places to hide from the dog, and the little one had already managed to get up on his recliner.

We had stopped at Dollar General and the guy I work with got a litter box, litter, two different kinds of food, and three different toys.
When we dropped the kitties off, he set the litter box up first thing, and as soon as he put it down, the little grey one went over hopped up in it, dug a whole and pooped.
Of course it had the runs.
Later we heard a different guy at work had given them Chicken McNuggets...

He didn't know that one of the salesmen that lives nearby had run home and got some of their cat food and had fed them.

So yeah, they got dumped at a good place.
I was nervous though, I was hoping we'd find homes quickly...I really didn't want two kitties.
Someday I'd like to have a kitty, just not right now.

    Me too. :)

Well, guess I should go get my bath.
Was late by the time I finally made it to the couch to relax last night, and would like to make it there earlier tonight.

Sweet dreams to anyone who leaves.
I'll swing back through when I get to the sofa. ;)
