Sunday is supposed to be a day of rest, but it did not work out that way yesterday. I ended up taking down the chain link fence in front of my house. This land used to be a garden. I always tried to get Dad to take it down, but he would not. Well, there's a new girl in town.

You would not believe how much better it looks. Perry was not feeling well, but he did take his truck and get the posts up. Who puts cement on every post? Sheesh! It felt good to work hard, though, and even though I only slept 4 hours, they were quite sound, and I woke up ready to start again. I still have to do my lot beside me and my aunts' two houses. Her son is in town from SC, and he says he will help me. We'll see.

Hope everyone has a great Monday. At least get it out of the way.

    Good morning everyone

Hope your friend is feeling better, hard days suck.

Have to work Monday night then have tues and weds off. Weird start to the 6-2 schedule
    Good morning Joey.

I hope so too but I knew these days would come for her.

That is a rather unusual start.

People who do the job right, of course. If you don't anchor your fence posts, you get a fence that is no longer straight and upright within a few short years.
You are right. That fence was older than me. It sure looks good.

Yesterday, I went ahead and took up the fence in from of a field and two houses. No more fence on our street. My cousin did cut the poles off and rolled up the chain fence. I started at 7:30 and did everything else myself. It made my aunt happy because she has wanted that fence down for years. Everyone is happy.

All I have left that I want to do is rent a stump grinder, cut some lower limbs off a tree, and burn a big brush pile. I also have 15 more feet to pressure wash of the driveway. I think I need a vacation.

Sleep well, everyone, and have a great day tomorrow.

I saw a video not long ago showing how to burn the stump down to where there's hardly anything left.

Since you're going to have some fuel (wood) to pile onto it, it might just work.

    Good morning lurkers

I prolly should let KU go when the trial ends. I read 5 books this week, some 300+ pages :lol: I love having them at my fingertips too! I put the app on my phone and use that when out and then use my kindle at night before bed.

Joey, Rat2 was right. MFP is My Fitness Pal. An app to track your health. I use it mostly to track what I eat and water consumption.

Dale, I’m so glad you were able to visit with your friend. Sometimes that’s just what you need.

Retired1, sadly, I got rid of most of my books too. I started buying hard copies again but only if I find myself rereading it multiple times rather than starting something new. Never know if/when that title will be pulled from online. It’s nice to know I’m not the only one who feels this way about eye surgery. I always get weird looks like it’s no big deal. Lol!

I should have grabbed quotes because now I’ve forgotten all I was gonna say. Lol! Not like you want to read a mega post anyway

    Have a great day everyone!

Was going through my spam folder last night when an email caught my eye. Started looking at it and it was from an unknown sender claiming my card had been compromised. Started to do some digging and decided to look at my phone to see if there was a text message from my financial institution. Yep, there was one and the potential fraud matched the email. Great..... Call 'em up and there are 4 charges that don't belong. Took all my patience to get through the call. Why do companies feel they need to farm out their customer service to a third party that isn't even in this country?

Relieved it was caught early enough to prevent my account from being drained, irritated as all get out because it takes forever to get a new card and I have an absolute crap ton of auto payments that are most likely going to bounce before I get the new card in hand and start getting things changed over.

I know where the compromise occurred and I have no one to blame but myself. I did receive an alert on the site and I ignored it, where I should have dug out the tools and done a deep scan of the server to see what was going on. Lesson learned. If your security tools complain about a site, pay attention.
