The second eye surgery went very well yesterday. I am going without my glasses, but seeing a little blurry, but I can make it out. Now, the road signs are another story. I'm not sure if I can't see them because it is so bright now. The sun was coming in the through the back porch and I almost had to put on my sunglasses. :2cool:
Happy to hear it went well Rat2! I’m told it takes a few days for things to clear up.

    Good afternoon Dale

Yay!! You’ll be seeing great in no time, Rat2. Overcooked crab legs are definitely disappointing but you always rave about the lodge so maybe it was just a one off.

Stir fry sounds really good, Dale. Hope you have a fun time with Bela. Kiddo drives himself to my parents every Sunday now. It’s so weird. In a good way lol.

Spent the day cleaning and it’s almost time to start dinner. We are doing sausage and baked beans. Enjoy the rest of your day everyone.

I will probably still need glasses for reading and driving. I have a really bad astigmatism. There is an laser treatment and a toric lens implant that would make it so I did not ever have to wear glasses but I do not think I will proceed with that. I am grateful the cataracts are gone and the surgeries did not take my sight.

I go back to my eye doctor Friday for a checkup. My only issue now is I have to make sure I have my sunglasses close by.

The weather is beautiful. We got Perry's yard mowed yesterday. I would love to take a bike ride but I forgot my helmet. I could use Perry's but it is too big and the wind makes my head wobbly. (more so than usual)

Perry is feeling a bit better but I am glad he is going back to his doctor Thursday. I just hope they do something.

Hope everyone has a nice day.

Good morning :) Although here in Europe, it's already noon.
Good afternoon DampfDas , welcome! How’s the weather in your neck of the woods? It’s hot hot here today but I’m happy to be home in the air conditioning.

Hey Rat2. Glad your eyes are doing well and Perry is feeling better.

Good evening all :) Welcome DampfDas!

Yeah it sure does stink that he’s growing up, Dale. So much to do coming up that it’s going to go by the fastest of all his school years. Quiet Sundays are the best

Hoping for a good outcome at Perry’s appt. Glad your eyes are ok, Rat2. I don’t know that I would have more surgery either. Cataract removal terrifies me lol

Well, it’s day 2 of getting back on the treadmill and so far so good. I’ve been taking it slow and got between 9-10k both days. I’m stretching before and icing after. :)

Off to read. Have a great night all!!

I have been getting back to walking, but my knee seems to be getting worse (the one I had the meniscus tear on). When I first stand up and start to move, I am experiencing temporary intense pain. Then, when I get to moving, it pops and works its way clear to let me walk with very little pain. Go figure. I am still going to give it more time to heal and try to keep moving.

I watched Perry eat cube steak with gravy while I ate my salad with rotisserie shredded chicken over it. I am trying to get back to the way I was eating. It is a good thing that I really enjoy salads. I have got to get some of this weight gain off. I don't like the thought, but if this does not work, I am going to start staying at home during the week and just seeing Perry on the weekends. It is pretty hard to fix something I like and not be able to chow down on it. Oh well, I will figure it out. Hopefully, by next summer, I will be able to wear all the new summer clothes I wore when I was with Ken.

Hope everyone has a good night. Perry is on the phone with one of his friends and I think I am going to read for a bit and try to get a good nights sleep.

    Good morning lurkers. :)

    Good evening everyone

Glad your eye surgery went well R2 :thumb:

My work schedule starts Monday so the daily grind begins. Really not looking forward to all the hours again. I might be able to pay my truck 1 year early with all these hours
    Hi Joey.
I bet you are dreading it :(

Mornin' y'all. Giving my 2 week notice today. New job starts next month and while I could go 4 more weeks at this job, the thought of spending more time at this hell hole isn't something I want to contemplate .

Looking forward to the new job. It's going to be a lot of hard work, but building a new program from the ground up is fun stuff.
