First half of the day was rain and clouds, second half is absolutely gorgeous. Family coming for dinner/pool time. We won a family tray of pizza at a fundraiser this spring, perfect time to use it.
Thank you, Retired. I will keep that in mind. I do have iTunes on my Thinkpad. But I mostly connect my phone to Alexa (hate her too but she does come in handy for a few things) or listen directly from the phone with ear buds. I use the lightning cable to connect to my car.

Ewww. Bluetooth for the win. Soon as the car starts up, my phone syncs up and I'm able to play music from the phone through the car's stereo. The hell with that Android Auto (or Apple Play) junk.
I subscribe to YouTube Premium which also gives me ad free music through YouTube Music. I'm most likely going to drop my XM Sirius subscription as I never use it any more.
Me? I'd slap a Whipple supercharger on that sucker, beef up the transmission and suspension, and terrorize the kids that thought they had something that amounted to something.
Yay! We have the same phones. I love mine. I have been with Samsung since the Note 2. My friend has an iphone and it drives me crazy. I know they say they are more secure but to me, they are not as user friendly. Iphone probably won't let you (the dictate what apps are allowed) but can you put on another launcher. I use Nova because of all the customization.
We have been hot, but the afternoon showers are keeping the grass in overdrive. I could mow again today and I just did it.Look on the bright side... Ya don't hafta mow the lawn.
Me too! When my mom died, my dad wanted to be able to get in touch with me. I didn't like it at first, but now. . . I couldn't do without it.
Kids these days get cell phones at a young age. I gave my kiddos one when they got their drivers licenses so they could get me if they needed me.
I don't go overboard with the customization. But I do prefer my screens to be set up just so and there are absolutely NO icons other than the Phone, Browser, SMS and camera icons in the home row on my home screen. Commonly used icons are a swipe to the left and everything is a swipe down. Then I can alphabetize the lot and I'm happy. The only way to alphabetize a bloody iPhone is to reset the display which throws all the damned icons back to where I don't want them to be.
Apple, you suck!
Now my watch is a different thing altogether. I'm particularly fond of the current screen.

Perry volenteered to help pressure wash at the Lodge (I didn't think he should). He has not been feeling well and I am a bit worried. His heart is beating beautifully but he seems to be very tired and dizzy at times. Blood pressure running low. He sees another doctor tomorrow. We'll just have to see. Since he was not feeling well, I went in his place. I would have done a good job but they could not find the key to turn on the outside water. Sheesh! Oh well, I ended up with two other men trimming some trees. I did my part!

I have a clean homescreen also. Love it. I use mostly gestures. I can bring up around 30 some different apps on this screen with just a gesture. I use One Hand operation app and the Nova app has these options. I use Digital Clock and Weather app for my widget on the home screen. If you hit each section (clock, date, battery and weather) it will launch that app. Pretty neat.
As you can tell, I have spent way too much time playing with my phone. heehee
UI 8 is just around the corner as well. We should see it on our devices within the next 3-6 weeks.
I REALLY want a new Fold, but I think I'm going to hold out until next year or the year after. Supposedly they're coming out with a creaseless design next year. Give 'em a year to work out the bugs, and I'll be ready to pull the trigger on one.
Same here. I came so close because of the upgrade rebate. All the YouTubes I watch were pretty impressive other than I like having my stylus and I would have imagined a better battery. Making improvements all the time. It is sad that my phone means so much to me. It was my only source of entertainment for the 8 years I was taking care of my father. I also leaned to play the guitar and uke. I can definitely keep myself entertained.
Yep, no stylus is a deal breaker for me as well. Supposedly they're working on that and hopefully we'll see something next year.
I gave my S23 Ultra to the other half and she's over the moon with it. She's always gotten the ultra cheap ones (read free) with her service so this is the first flagship she's ever owned. She still shakes her head at the price of 'em (I buy mine outright, no payments for me) but do you think she's gonna turn it in on something cheaper? Hell no!

If you're attempting to use the emojis from your phone as you type, it ain't gonna work. You have to select it from the editor that you're typing in on the forum. (They're called smilies.)

Discord is an app with servers people make for different hobbies and interests you can join— kind of like old school chat rooms a bit. I’m in a couple book clubs lol.
