How does that work exactly? Adding stuff to premade juice. If you add flavor, do you have to add more of the other ingredients too?
Not if you don't go crazy on how much you add it shouldn't.;) The only other lemon I've ever tried (I LOVE) is lemon loves cake from AIV. Then again I LOVE most of their juices and in the past had gotten to where they were the only company I was buying from. When we were laid off for 2 years I did strictly DIY. Good thing I was already into the stock pile mode!

Our Thanksgiving and Christmas menu are pretty much the same.
I plan on scaling way back this thanksgiving and currently only have a turkey, dressing, and sweet potato casserole in mind. Of course there will be deviled eggs and stuff, probably some green beans... DD will bake some desserts.

Mom was the only one that required that " cranberry log in a can " and she is gone now. We lost seven (for various reasons) this past year so it's all going to be a bit different
Clay is fixing a standing rib roast; Jami is making her "baby potatoes with ranch sprinkled on them", green bean casserole, croissants; I'm bringing sweet potatoes, deviled eggs, veg tray, fruit tray and a few pies... The kids don't know Bruce's sister will be coming for Tday so I will be bringing the best part of dinner!:D:D:D

Lemon is hard to do. I have a lemon sugar cookie recipe that is pretty good. You can also add a few drops of Real lemon juice to it to bring out the lemon flavor.

Thank you for reminding me of the real lemon! I can pick some up at the grocery store, I will need it for the fruit tray anyway! I know that everyone says a ho hum juice can pop with the addition of lemon juice!:)
If you ever feel like sharing, I would love to have your lemon sugar cookie recipe!:nun:

I did not know you can use real lemon juice to help flavor your juice. Interesting. Good to know for the future. :)
If you look through the websites with recipes you will see lemon juice added fairly often to juices that are "fruity". I can't claim to have tried it before though.:?:

Hi Lori
I agree with Sara, you're missed :)

Use some common sense if you do though, it can spoil if you keep it too long.
A lot of people do use it to make flavors "pop" as they put it.
I will start small. The flavor isn't a bad one, it just really lacks the lemon it advertises being in there. I love lemon cookies...:p

Yes you can use the real lemon juice like you get in the little lemon shaped bottles. The suggestion is 1 drop per ml and it can brighten other fruits as well.

Thank you Rachel! I wonder since it already has lemon supposed to be in it if I would get away with more like 1 to 3 or maybe even 1 to 5... though the lemon is pretty much non-existent.:?:

Well bummer Bobbi! :(
It's ok Dale, I have lots of good juices here already, these just sounded good. Besides I think I will try to add a touch of real lemon. If nothing else it will be a learning experience toward my DIY;)

It was ..... interesting ;)
Really not sure if I should like this post or just say a prayer that the conversation was heard... I'll go with the prayer.

Yep Lori, you are missed here too! Have a good visit, but glad you are popping in from time to time!:p

Evening Fran! Hope your weather is fair? Our cold is supposed to be gone during the days and we should be in the 50s for the next couple of weeks. Inside the dry cleaners that makes a great temp. We open the windows wide and it sure helps cool it to a more comfortable temp in there!:)

I take it Bruce's sister is a popular lady ;)

I love lemon cookies too :thumb: Don't think to get any very often but if I'm going to eat a store bought cookie that's the kind I want.
Felt sure you did have plenty of eliqiud but still disappointing.

Prayer certainly couldn't hurt, thank you

I sure do. Just have to top it off before bed. Think I'm gonna sign off for the night.

    Good morning lurkers [emoji4][emoji477]️

Hi obg, joey, sara and fran [emoji4]

Bobbi and anyone else whom wanted it, I will post that lemon sugar cookie juice recipe in a bit for you.

With adding the lemon juice to e liquid, I would start with one drop per ml. You can always go back and add more. [emoji6]
