Not if you don't go crazy on how much you add it shouldn't.How does that work exactly? Adding stuff to premade juice. If you add flavor, do you have to add more of the other ingredients too?
When we were laid off for 2 years I did strictly DIY. Good thing I was already into the stock pile mode!Clay is fixing a standing rib roast; Jami is making her "baby potatoes with ranch sprinkled on them", green bean casserole, croissants; I'm bringing sweet potatoes, deviled eggs, veg tray, fruit tray and a few pies... The kids don't know Bruce's sister will be coming for Tday so I will be bringing the best part of dinner! Our Thanksgiving and Christmas menu are pretty much the same.
I plan on scaling way back this thanksgiving and currently only have a turkey, dressing, and sweet potato casserole in mind. Of course there will be deviled eggs and stuff, probably some green beans... DD will bake some desserts.
Mom was the only one that required that " cranberry log in a can " and she is gone now. We lost seven (for various reasons) this past year so it's all going to be a bit different![]()
Thank you for reminding me of the real lemon! I can pick some up at the grocery store, I will need it for the fruit tray anyway! I know that everyone says a ho hum juice can pop with the addition of lemon juice!Lemon is hard to do. I have a lemon sugar cookie recipe that is pretty good. You can also add a few drops of Real lemon juice to it to bring out the lemon flavor.

If you ever feel like sharing, I would love to have your lemon sugar cookie recipe!

If you look through the websites with recipes you will see lemon juice added fairly often to juices that are "fruity". I can't claim to have tried it before though.I did not know you can use real lemon juice to help flavor your juice. Interesting. Good to know for the future.![]()

I will start small. The flavor isn't a bad one, it just really lacks the lemon it advertises being in there. I love lemon cookies...Hi Lori
I agree with Sara, you're missed
Use some common sense if you do though, it can spoil if you keep it too long.
A lot of people do use it to make flavors "pop" as they put it.
Thank you Rachel! I wonder since it already has lemon supposed to be in it if I would get away with more like 1 to 3 or maybe even 1 to 5... though the lemon is pretty much non-existent.Yes you can use the real lemon juice like you get in the little lemon shaped bottles. The suggestion is 1 drop per ml and it can brighten other fruits as well.

It's ok Dale, I have lots of good juices here already, these just sounded good. Besides I think I will try to add a touch of real lemon. If nothing else it will be a learning experience toward my DIYWell bummer Bobbi!![]()
Really not sure if I should like this post or just say a prayer that the conversation was heard... I'll go with the prayer. It was ..... interesting![]()
