@kad2371 - are you cooking anything good this weekend??
...I'm not. ;) Well, I guess I am, it's good, just super easy so it doesn't really count as cooking.
Polish Sausage, cut up, 2 bags of frozen veggies with cheese, a little chicken broth, bake until it's all done.
We haven't had it in awhile, and the grocery store had the Polish Sausage on sale for 99 cents a package, (John Morrell) so I grabbed two packages. But like I said, easy peasy, so I don't really consider that cooking anything special. :)

I've been thinking about making a batch for weeks but I keep forgetting to buy carrots :drool::drool::drool::drool::laugh:

Ok, so, it was good for a first try but a little bland. I blame it on the unsalted beef broth ;) So the spices I used were onion powder, garlic powder, pepper and dried parsley (per recipe) In prepping, I browned a chopped onion in olive oil and added some garlic cloves (also per recipe) What do you put in yours minus the salt? I thought about adding paprika, chopped celery and maybe thyme next time. This dish needs some oooomph!

Dale, hope you get dinner figured out. I'd send a some bland stew if you were closer, we have plenty left. ;)

Paul, Omgosh. Can I have some of your energy? You are always on the go go go. Hope you get to relax a bit this evening.

    Well, THAT'D do it. :nah:

Yum!! Both your dinners sound good. :) I've got beef stew in the crock pot. Needed to use up my leftover instant pot roast beef. It smells so good.

Even though it's gray out there, I hope you're all enjoying the weekend. They go oh so fast.
    Yum!!
They DO go just way too fast. :(

Well, it's a warm one today, about 85. And I'm in the attic of a building out back insulating and paneling the ceiling. Sweating up here.

Oh Paul, couldn't like that. :( Not fun!!

Good afternoon, good to be back home cuz I'm pooped.

We've had a great mix of sunshine and purple clouds, not sure who's going to win o_O

No supper planned at all for us
Oh boy, purple clouds?? Pics???
I just napped...for almost 2 hours. BUT, I didn't sleep well AT ALL last night, and Rita was ready to get up at 4:30 this a.m., DH was up at 6:15, so I just got up when he did.
I'm reading a good book so I read for a couple hours. Hoping to finish it tonight.:thumb:

Try browning the onion and fine chopped garlic together with some pepper and throw a bay leaf or two in the crock pot (fish them out when cooked don't eat them) and most of the time I put hot sauce on mine when I eat it :)

    This dish needs some oooomph!

A little franks hot sauce will fix that I also put beef cubes in mine 5 or 6 :)
