Ok, so, it was good for a first try but a little bland. I blame it on the unsalted beef broth ;) So the spices I used were onion powder, garlic powder, pepper and dried parsley (per recipe)

I'm thinking the parsley is more for looks than anything try eating some and see what you think, another thing you might try is allspice try a taste on your finger and go from there.Oh and I grind my own pepper when cooking :)

I will add allspice to my ever growing spice cupboard  I don't think I've ever purchased as many different spices as I have this month.

We were going to buy low sodium salt, but apparently there is something in there..I forget what, that is not good for people on BP meds. So that nixed that. I do have bay leaves. :thumb:

Dale, I would love a smidge of all three desserts. They look sooo good.

Cumin is another must have,it's good in about any sauce that's red like chili :)

One time I even dumped some old red wine in my stew :laugh:my kids thought I was crazy till they tried it :drool::drool:old wine is good in lots of stuff and smells good when cooking :2c:
Oh see now, the wine doesn't last long enough around here to become old ;)

You guys probably think I'm a lush. I really don't drink half as much as I talk about it. Lolz! I did read online to add wine or vinegar. Also to caramelize mushrooms and onions and add those to the end of cooking.

The dried out pot roast was super tender, the best part of the stew :) Need more practice with roasts in the instant pot.

That we do have, we are planning on making our own taco seasoning. We bought cumin, chili powder and dried mustard (not for the taco seasoning) the last trip to WM.
