    Good morning Dale.
Yep...we just take one then. ;)
Can't today ... have to ferry DH to the car shop in the morning and have another doctors appointment so if I put stuff off it would be Wednesday before I got around to it

Actually they say if it happens you shouldn't use the battery anymore. :(
Then why do they sell all those battery wraps?

Well, I think that's why people have been re-wrapping their's.
I don't think that it had enough "trauma" that it couldn't be used.
That makes sense I guess. I haven't read up on battery safety in forever so maybe you are right and it is ok. Must be time for me to do some updating on my studies.

No, you're right in what you said. In it's current state, it should not be used.
You just prob haven't seen all the chatter about those having to re-wrap their's.

No, I haven't seen it. I don't leave the lurkers often. More since the deeming but still not too often. I'm happy here in my own little world...;)

I know, I had been too for years.
    Then...well...deeming and all.

Well, left untreated, high BP is deadly. ;)
The sleep med, yeah...ditch that. Is it one you'll have to gradually decrease, or can you stop it abruptly?

    Going to run to McD's.
    Back in a bit. :D

So, somehow I managed to skin one of my brand new AW IMR 18650 batteries. Can I just put a spot of electrical tape on that and call it good.
I'm sure I would have done it taking it out of the charger. The spring loaded thing really will aggressively snap when I remove them.

That's what I would do if anything the part you nicked is the neg side of the battery and the case on every mod I know of is neg so I don't see a big problem but just to be safe cover it or re wrap it :)

 Yeah yeah ... I won't stay on that either once the kids move out :p

No idea about the sleep med but I see no real reason I can't just drop it.

    Good morning lurkers :)
    Good morning OBG

Saw your bus ... guess if we have to ride the "short" bus it may as well be a cool one

You can stop the snapping spring if you pull up the + end of your battery first and let the spring move forward :2c:

Thanks. That's what I was thinking. I'll definitely cover it with some electrical tape.

As long as that's covered, and remains covered, it should be completely safe, right?
I mean, that's kind of the purpose for electrical tape, right?

I *do* understand people just saying to re-wrap, it's honestly the safest advice to offer, but for a skin this minor, I was just thinking it would be overkill.

If it were *anything* worse than it is, I wouln't hesitate, or question for a minute, I'd re-wrap.

That's usually how I take them out, well, always take them out positive end first, my finger just slipped off the end, so the spring just flew.
