Hi Angel
Aren't you the lucky one! :p But you know you'll wind up helping out at bf's ;)

It looks like it could pour just any minute here but we have zero rain predicted o_O
Hiya Dale

Well helping out is one thing...don't really mind that...it's the getting up early and having to cook the whole dang meal all by myself, which is the way it's always been:glare:...his mom doesn't like turkey so we have to do a turkey breast for us and a pork loin for her...she does like all the trimmings though, so it's a good meal.

Normally I will bake a ham and do a turkey but this year it will only be a turkey...
which I don't really care for but I'll eat it
Dressing will be started the day before.

Trying to read and the dog crawls into my lap blocking my book  Worse than a darn cat!

Just got back from voting  there were about 7 people in front of us. Not too bad. I was #435. Don't know if that's a good turnout or not.

Sounds like good Tday plans for you Angel :) I was working on my menu today. My dad will help me with the turkey, mom will help peel the tators. In laws usually bring the dessert.

Hope that means you're off to meet your friend:) Enjoy your afternoon!
Nope, couldn't get ahold of her. :(
Wasn't a total loss though, I got carry out and ate at the flower shop. I needed to go by there anyway...so, you know...two birds. ;)

    Hi Dale and Lori!

I haven't voted yet. This election is like voting for...well...two things that suck. I could make a more eloquent and literary analogy but at the end of the day, it's like voting for two things that really suck. Which do we vote for? Armageddon or the Apocalypse? Cancer or a serious brain injury? Burning or drowning? Buried alive or parachute not opening? Being married to and having to listen to Rosie Perez or Wanda Sykes for the rest of your life? I'm writing in the queens name and hoping we go back under British rule.
Well, as a fellow Illinoisan, depending on how you cast your vote, it's an entirely mute point anyway....however, I still go...for the down ballet stuff, and at least I'll feel better knowing that I voted.

I kind of held my nose too...BUT, I strongly considered future Supreme Court Nominations, and a couple other issues that are very important to me. Then, (for me) the other deciding factor was...if anything, God forbid happened and the VP became the President...which would I rather have...that made the selection MUCH easier.
Plus, in IL there is a proposed change to the IL constitution that I felt was important to vote for, and...it's entirely possible that a Senate seat will change parties. :(
...just my :2c:, worth exactly what you paid for it.

Guess I'll go wrap some coils, the nap time window has sort of closed for me.

I'm thinking about trying these for another dessert. Betty Crocker pumpkin pie sugar cookies. Yum!

Man oh man. I got one load of laundry done today. I would not make a very good stay at home mom. I didn't even make dinner, DH is bringing a pizza home.

Those cookies look yummy Sara...I'm too lazy to try to make them though. :p

Haha! I love this! That's going to be my new favorite word!:lol:

I hear ya. It looks super easy. Packet of BC sugar cookie mix. Pumpkin, cream cheese, sugar and I think cinnamon. Make the sugar cookie per package. Put a small ball in each compartment of a muffin tin. Press into tin and up the sides a little. Mix the pie stuff and add to each cookie. Bake like 8 min. Easy peasy, then again those stuffed apples looked easy and I was disappointed.

Dinner sounds fabulous. We were supposed to have stuffed chicken, mashed tators and kiddo requested stove top stuffing. A kid after my own heart.

Hmmm, that could actually work in my favor. I will threaten 1/2 my list should he come home early. :sneaky:
