Don't do like me and put off thinning them out every once in a while after they get going good!

Our Forthysias and daffodils are done already, little pink ( forgot what they are) are almost finished. The irises will be here a while, the ones in the back are in full bloom, the ones in front will be awhile. Less sun up front plus DD and I just transplanted them last year.

soooo jealous yours are in full bloom already. Ours are on the corner of the house, hoping that they get just the right amount of sun.

Oh good, hope you get in some time to relax too. :)
We have iris at the lake, the previous owner put them in, they're a weird shade of yellow, I like yellow flowers, but this isn't a shade I would have planted, but they have done well so I won't complain.

I know. :(. Fingers crossed the forecast will change.

Welp, I'm off to eat and get moving.
CU all later. :)

I forget what colors we planted. We used ones that were already bloomed at the nursery vs bulbs. We had good luck with that at the old house.

Enjoy the rest of your morning girls. time to switch loads of laundry and make a Horton's run. I need some caffeine.

Good morning BG...oh...I think that's the 2nd greeting for you...
I guess you work from home? That's great if you do!!
You have a good day too. :)

Yes, I do work from home, at least until "camping" season kicks off. We manage an RV Park which is seasonal only, from mid-April to mid-October. We are 44 days from season open so it's crunch time to get my employee training manuals updated, my opening inventory/supplies list together, and start contacting our suppliers, etc. We do - or I should say I do - take reservations all year long, so there's always a little of that daily as well. Going to miss the peace and quiet of the winter :D

Good morning Dale and Chels

I know, Dale. Good day to jump back in bed and get toasty. Couple days of bitter cold (but it could be worse, I'll take the 20s over Bluebird's -11:eek:) then back into the 40s and 50s. :?:

LOL .. it took me 4yrs to convince the hubby that -35°F was just a phrase so we could buy a place here. With the proper clothing I picked out for him, he now loves it! Depending on who's stats you refer to, our little town is the 3rd or 5th coldest city in the lower 48.

That sounds like a really neat job. So do you "camp" there the whole time once the park opens? Are there a lot of regulars that you've become close to? Gah! No matter how much clothing you have on, it's still toooo cold for me. Brr.

Yes, we are always on site but last year we purchased some friends of ours' little park model home they told us they were selling. After accepting the job to manage the place for the owners 2yrs ago, that did mean we would need to live onsite or in town. This is the only park model in the park that was on a seperate well system, so it was a complete stroke of luck to acquire it when we did. We have been working here since 2013. Felt like the Taj Mahal after living in an RV for 5+yrs. Of course it took several serious mods to be winter liveable but we got it all done long before the first snow flew.

The campground is predominately return seasonal customers. Some have been coming here as long as the campground has been in existence since the 60s. And we have made some really good friends here. Most of them are here to fish (we have the largest lake in Colorado just 3mi up the road). And of course the tons of rivers and streams are teeming with rainbow and cutthroat, and our lake even has kokanee salmon. The area overall is an ATV/quad/mountain bike paradise right out of our entrance so it is all ridiculously busy from Memorial Day to about Labor Day.

And we still have our RV so we can still travel when we bore ourselves riding smowmobiles or dog sledding in the winter months. :D

Oh my gosh, that is such a cute place. No doubt, better than the RV. :) The campground sounds amazing.

Oh, LOVE THAT!!!
Just curious because my nephew is a professional (captain) fishing guide, is that a good area for that??
He's beginning to look at other places to move if need be. Year before last where he's at on Chokoloskee Island, FL., they had a season ending algae bloom that just killed the fishing tourism there.
He goes to a fly in lodge (Yes Bay Lodge) May through Sept., but like I said, he's been just kind of starting to look around different parts of the US. Colorado was one of the states he mentioned.
He really loves FL, so I'm not sure how serious he is about moving, but I thought I'd ask. :)

Do you offer eco-tours at the campground?? That's what he does too, along with the fishing.
