BB, I'm soooooo thankful I don't work with the public!! Just on a rare occasion these days.
I do payables, so I don't have to help customers, other than backup for the gal who answers the phones when she can't get to it. Mostly those calls I just transfer to whoever they need.

Ready for a quiet evening.

I maybe be later getting on tomorrow night.
I have a visitation to attend for the father of a guy I work with.
He was just 70 years old. He'd gone into the hospital for a carotid artery procedure, and after the procedure, his organs just didn't wake back up/respond/bounce back, I can't remember what term they used.
Every day is precious.

Made it home before the rain...there's a huge line of storms coming in the next hour though...guess I better send the kid for dinner before then.

Dale, glad you heard from your dad finally.

Lori, that's sad about your friend's dad.

We had a bus that was carrying senior citizens get hit by a train today...so far 4 have died and many are injured...it's just horrible...why on earth the stupid bus driver tried to cross those tracks there, where it's not really made for a vehicle like that, with a train coming, I just don't know what they were thinking.

Good evening, Lurkers! Been so busy I've been sorely absent from here. Hope everyone's alright. Still raining off and on here. A norther just came and cooled things down along with the rain. Not complaining. Much better than the steam bath which normally hits us from the Gulf. Off to go fix dinner.

That was exactly it...not reading the signs...this crossing has signs warning that large vehicles should not cross...and they ended up stuck on the tracks. They were trying to get people off when the train hit it. It took them almost 2 hours to rescue everyone.
